Thank you for all the raised hands to pray for us!  David just got the call from his dermatologist, and everything on yesterday's CT scan from his head to his toes appears normal.  Yea!! 

It will take a little bit longer before an oncologist reviews the scans as well, but praise God for the initial good news.  We'll keep you updated once we get the next opinion back.

Those of you who follow us on Facebook knew we were at a seminar for MARC and visiting family in Indiana last week.  After watching our nephew perform in the lawn tractor competitions at the Indiana State Fair on Saturday, we stayed for the evening concert where a fast-moving storm came through and collapsed the stage rigging, killing 6 and wounding nearly 50 others.

Thankfully we were out of harm's way, but David joined the rescuers working to free and help the injured.  God brought David to the side of Nate Byrd, who had been operating a spot light in the top of the rigging high above the ground.  David was able to help evacuate & triage Nate while holding his right hand throughout and helping keep Nate and the other rescuers as calm as possible.  Unfortunately Nate had sustained serious injuries in the fall, and he died hours later on the operating table. 

Please pray for Nate's two teenage children and his five siblings and other extended family members.  David had a chance to speak with one of Nate's brothers before our departure from Indianapolis.  Pray for the family's comfort, and pray that God will use our connection in this tragic event for His greater glory.
