| Happy New Year from David & Karin |
|
Dear Friends & Family,
Here at the beginning of the new year, we want to take a quick moment to once again say "Thank You" for your faithful prayers and financial contributions that made possible our recent move to join the Missionary Aviation Repair Center family here in Alaska!
We very much appreciate your daily encouragement and support through all the many emails, Facebook updates, phone calls, and even the occasional "old fashioned" letter :-) It's truly a privilege to have each of you working alongside us in spirit as we work to make a difference in the lives of those in physical & spiritual need in the 230+ remote villages of rural Alaska.
As we enter 2011, we pray God will continue to bless our shared efforts throughout the coming year. There is much to still be done!
See our Praise & Prayer Requests below.

The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Praise & Prayer Requests:
- We're thankful for God's physical protection while driving into Alaska and striking two caribou. Everything worked out nicely with the insurance details, and God provided a replacement vehicle at a greatly reduced price!
- We're very thankful to have quickly settled into our new Kenai home. God provided a beautiful house with an incredible view that we look forward to using to His glory & benefit in our ministry efforts here with MARC. (And we look forward to hosting any of you who would like to come visit!)
- Over the past month, we're also very thankful to have begun planning the development needs for MARC in 2011. Pray that God will continue to enable us to help the MARC team improve their external communications & financial support endeavors. As there are many varied opinions regarding "the right way" to do missions work in Alaska, and as there are many opinions as to what needs done first, pray that God will give our leadership wisdom to prioritize the right things that will make the right Gospel impact within the remote villages.
- Pray for Karin as she will begin taking classes next week via University of Alaska-Anchorage/Kenai Peninsula College. She's using David's transferred GI Bill benefits and will earn a housing allowance, which will help fund our living expenses here.
- We're very thankful that God has called many of you to help support the financial needs of our transition here. We've now raised approximately 70% of our needed support!
- Pray that God will make aware the needs of Alaska to others who are able to help.
You can also help by letting others friends & family members know about the needs here in Alaska. Please help "spread the word" by forwarding this email to others who can help. Thanks!
