We have entered a busy period with many conferences, information days, workshops and deadlines to comply with. Technology has also shown lots of innovations such as " The Daily" web magazine that was launched last 2nd February. This new source of information will be available for iPads only and this represents a total change with the past when items of information were printed on paper and then were published (partially or entirely) online (firstly on websites designed for computers only then also on mobile editions designed for smartphones). Exactly one month later the new Apple iPad2 was launched. It is thinner and lighter than the previous one, it has got a faster processor and front and rear cameras. Some analysts predict that in the short terms the netbooks (i.e. smaller laptops) will disapper from the market due to the wide choice of tablet PCs now available. In the EC projects field a number of new calls have been recently launched (as listed below) and many others will be by Summertime. This means new opportunities for us to design the world of the future that will hopefully be safer, greener and more comfortable.
