Gael Athletes - Plan Ahead!

Any boy or girl planning on playing a sport at Holy Cross School next year is encouraged to get your athletic physicals now through July Don't wait for the rush at the last minute! Athletic physicals run from May of this year until May of next year. That means you are covered from volleyball or soccer all the way through a spring sport. You can not practice or play in games unless you have an up to date physical. If you have any questions, see Mr. Mitchell or go by the office and pick up a physical form. Take care of this early!
From Mrs. Main in the library
The Accelerated Reader Store will be open for students in grades 2-5 on Wednesday! First graders will have a special shopping time on Monday, June 4th! Congratulations to all the students who have worked so hard on reading and earning points! We will recognize top readers in next E-Crossette!
I will come in to the library throughout the summer for students to take Accelerated Reader quizzes! If they read an A.R. book, they should not wait until school starts to take the quiz. I will send out dates that I will be there in future newsletters. Or you can e-mail me anytime to see if I may be going to school that week! Speaking of reading over the summer..... read below!
Summer Reading information and log will go home Monday, June 4th. Parents, please help your children find a safe and convenient place to keep this sheet so that they can log all of their reading over the summer. It is a big deal at Holy Cross and we expect everyone to complete it! Our theme is "Go for the gold", and we will have an Olympic Fun Day on Monday, Sept. 10th, for those who meet the minimum goal. YOU CAN BE A PART OF THE FUN! Contact Mrs. Main if you would like to help that day with various activities or refreshments! main_h@hcrs-va.org
Our second graders hosted their annual Donuts for Dad this week. Great food and fun were enjoyed by all!
