HEALTHY CHOICES SERIES: We are sorry to announce that our final speaker in the series scheduled for May 31 has had to cancel. Dr. Linda Hancock from the Wellness Center at VCU is unable to visit Holy Cross this spring; however, we hope to reschedule her presentation for the fall of 2012.

Service Hour Opportunity
The PTO Yard Sale offers great opportunities for service hours for our
students. If your student needs to fulfill this requirement, please
encourage him/her to sign up as a volunteer with Mr. Steve Luther. You canemail Steve at: steveluthe@aol.com If your student plans to volunteer, we ask that he/shewear a Holy Cross shirt (team shirt, uniform shirt or sports shirt - something to acknowledge them as a student at Holy Cross). The class thathas thte most volunteers helping at the event will win a free pizza party from the PTO! Volunteers are needed as early as 6:00 am. WE NEED ADULTS AS

Tickets are now available for Disney's Beauty and the Beast presented by the Elementary/Middles School Drama Club. Ticket forms are available in the office. Make plans to attend this wonderful production!
Also be sure to mark your calendars for our Development Concert on Saturday June 2 at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Doors open at 7 pm and the band begins at 7:30. THE IMPOSTERS will play wonderful rock-n-roll for an evening of good music and dancing. Food/drink will be offered for sale.Tickets for the concert are $15.00 per person and are available at the front desk at HC. Thank you so much for your support of the NHS/NJHS Ghiradelli chocolate fund raiser. We made almost $460 profit. Next fall we'll be planting Service Berry trees around the back parking lot.
Meals on Wheels has a new part-time position open.
Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lynchburg Area is a nonprofit organization providing healthy meals, friendly smiles, and warm reassurance to the local homebound community since 1974.
The location and hours: 605 Clay Street, downtown Lynchburg; 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 (occasionally 1 p.m.) Monday through Friday with some weekday holidays. Please submit resume and cover letter to k.shabestar@yahoo.com as a pdf or word document or e-mail requesting a more detailed job description.
