News From Patti Culbreth
To Our Holy Cross Families:
Mrs. Culbreth, with a member of our Finance Council, will hold a Town Hall meeting to discuss changes in the tuition scale for 2012-1013. The Council has worked hard to smooth out tuition bumps, and we think our families will be happy with our work. To learn more of the new scale, please feel free to attend a brief meeting on Wednesday, Feb 1 at 8:15 a.m. or if a later time suits you, please join us for a repeat of the meeting at 5:30 pm.
This week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week! A schedule for the week was sent out via RenWeb last week, and events are listed in a separate box below. Please check for details. Remember, if your child wears his/her uniform to church on Sunday, he/she can earn a free dress day for showing our school pride!
If your child did not order a Chik-fil-a sandwich for lunch on Friday, Feb. 3, please pack a lunch that day for your child. The Farm Basket kitchen will not be open on Friday.
Happy Catholic Schools Week! January 29-February 3, 2012
Our theme for the week focuses on three priorities that Catholic schools establish that make them stand out from other educational institutions. Children are taught faith - not just the basics of Christianity, but how to have a relationship with God. Academics, which in Catholic schools are held to very high standards, help each child reach his or her potential. Service, the giving of one's time and effort to help others, is taught both as an expression of faith and good citizenship.
We celebrate our Catholic School, Holy Cross, because it offers Faith, Academics and Service! What a blessing! Please join us in this week's celebration!
Pre-K, K, and 1st graders have been counting to 100 days of school. Monday, January 30th will be our 100th day! They will celebrate with fun game activities, a movie, and a fun treat! Hurray for 100 days!
