Read to Me DaySecond and third graders at Holy Cross were treated to a surprise visit by Ben Franklin (also known as George Wingfield, husband of Julia and father of Laura!) this week. While here Mr. Franklin read the book How Ben Franklin Stole the Lightning by Rosalyn Schanzer to the classes. This visit was in conjunction with Appalachian Power's "Read to Me Day" on November 17, during which Appalachian Power employees visited every participating elementary school in their Virginia and Tennessee service territory, and donated the book to our library. What a fun time for our students! Thanks to both George Wingfield and APCO!
Saturday Morning Basketball will start again the Saturday after Thanksgiving Nov 26th at 8:00am.
