HALLOWEEN FREE DRESS DAY FOR MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL
Middle and High School students may dress out of uniform on Monday, Oct. 31st, as part of their Oktoberfest/Halloweee n festivities. High school students are reminded to bring or wear a shirt in the color assigned to you for Oktoberfest!
Elementary Halloween Our annual elementary Halloween parade will be held outside at 2:15 pm, followed by Trunk or Treat. Feel free to dress up and join the fun!
Our first graders are going to the Odd Fellows Home to sing Halloween songs and recite poems on Halloween morning. They will wear their costumes!
Try-outs for all girls (middle and high school) interested in playing basketball will be on Tuesday, November 1 from 4:45-5:45 fr om 4:45-5:45
All boys not playing soccer who wish to play on the middle school, junior varsity, or varsity teams will have workouts beginning Tuesday in the gym (weather permitting as soccer has first priority) from 3:15 until 4:30 with the coaching staff. Players need physicals and athletic contracts signed before playing. Tryouts will begin thefollowing week. Any questions see your coach or Mr. Mitchell.

Drama Club Performances
The Holy Cross Drama Club, led by Ashley Byrne, will present two performances of their one-act play: "Pirates! Theodore Thud and the Quest for Weird Beard," by Joshua Mikel, Thursday, November 3, in the Cafeteria.
The performance for the entire HCRS student body will begin at 10:00 am.
The evening performance for parents and guests begins at 6:00 pm, also in the Cafeteria.
Butter Braids are back! Delicious baked goods for the holidays just like mom used to make! Order yours today. Forms went home in the brown envelope and are also available on our website. Checks should be made payable to HCS. Please turn in order forms to the office.

- Donate a food/drink item for after school and other special times
- Help take down the fair on Wed. Nov. 16th (time to be announced)
BARNES & NOBLE FAIR- DECEMBER 10th
Holy Cross Regional School will have its special day at Barnes and Noble Booksellers on Saturday, December 10th. On that day, and for the week following, our school will earn $ from every purchase made by a family or friend! We will host several events to showcase our students throughout the day! Stay tuned for more details but mark your calendars now!
It's Turkey Time Again! Holy Cross School will be participating in Operation Turkey to benefit Daily Bread in Downtown, Lynchburg. Your generous donation of a turkey(s) will help feed the many homeless and needy people in the Lynchburg area on Thanksgiving Day and throughout the year. Turkeys (frozen or fresh) will be accepted from 2:30-3:15 in the front parking lot of the school on Thursday, November 17th. Monetary donations (to purchase additional turkeys) will also be accepted. Collection containers will be available in each classroom and at the cash register during lunch periods. Thank you for your past donations and we look forward to another successful year. As always your donations are greatly appreciated.
