Parents, We thank you so much for reminding your children that they must have lunch money with them in order to buy lunch. We cannot allow students to "charge" food at lunch. Thank you for the support. Thank you from Mrs. Main I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the volunteers who either helped with our "Western day" summer reading celebration on Sept. 7th, or donated the food and drink items needed for that day. This type of event could not be pulled off without lots of volunteers and as always, you came through with your willingness to help! Many teachers helped as well! That is what makes working at Holy Cross so special! I also want to thank the elementary students for completing their summer reading goals which allowed us to have this celebration. And I want to give a "shout out" to the students again for using their best manners on "Western day". Several volunteers commented on the nice manners used by our students! Holy Cross has awesome kids, parents, grandparents, and teachers!! Middle School Social The Junior Class is sponsoring a social for Middle School students and guests on Friday, September 30th. The social starts at 7:00 PM and ends at 10:00 PM. There will be a DJ and snacks. Students may bring up to 3 guests who are in grades 6-8. All Holy Cross students and their guests are required to have a signed permission slip and $7 to homeroom teachers by September 27th. Permission slips are available from homeroom teachers and our website. Volunteers Needed: We love our volunteers at Holy Cross - whether in the classroom, in the lunchroom or at a sporting event! If you would like to volunteer, please let us know. Volunteers are reminded that they must complete a volunteer application with the front office and must attend a one-time-only VIRTUS training session. To register for a session at one of our local Catholic churches, please visit www.virtus.org The school must have a copy of the VIRTUS certificate to allow you to volunteer. Thank you for understanding our need to run these background checks in order to protect our children. College visits are being scheduled to avoid AP, DE classes (1st, 4th, 6th and 8th periods) and lunch as much as possible (exception is 9/9).
