Pictures Needed from Senior Parents It's hard to believe that this is the last month of school, where have the years gone? Have you started reminiscing about the early years, looking through old photos! Great that's exactly what we need. Parents, please select 5 photos spanning your child's life (Ex: baby photo, elementary, special event, middle/ high school, any ahhhhh moments.) that we can use to put in the traditional slide show shown at the last liturgy and graduation. We need them as soon as possible, no later than May 10th! Please send them in an envelope with your name and senior's name. The photos should be turned in to Mrs. Bowden. Thank you!

Thank You!
A huge thank you to all who supported my recent trip to Haiti. Through your generosity, we were able to offer medical care to over 900 people; visit Le Foyer des Filles de Dieu and give gifts and play with their 65 orphan girls; visit in the Ravine, an area of extreme poverty; supply many children and adults with equipment for our soccer camp, and offer our friendship to, and solidarity with the people of Haiti. More than this, we each brought back the gift of peace in our hearts and renewed faith through our experience with these hardworking, strong, resilient and courageous people. Your gifts of medication, toys, jewelry, money and equipment will continue to alleviate the suffering of the Haitian people, but even more your spiritual support will bring comfort and hope. In peace, Kathryn (Kitty) Luth Humphreys

A Message From John Jones
As we continue in the Easter season, I am reminded of how much God loves us and of his overwhelming generosity. In fact, God loves us so much that he greatly desires to bless us, bless us indeed!
We must also be mindful of how to thank God for this love and generosity. I certainly believe we do so by living his commands and the words and example of his Son Jesus. We also thank him and strengthen our relationship with him through prayer... our spituitaul communication. I again believe that prayer must be part of our daily lives. Prayer is the link that unites us with God as we share our daily journey with him. In fact, God lovingly desires that we do so. He wants to be a part of our lives. In my mind, if Jesus was willing to die for me he must love me and someone who loves me that much certainly wants me to be in love with him. Those in love communicate and they share life together with all that it brings.
I often tell the seniors that "not everyday will be a three cookie day." While we have three-cookie days, sometimes we only get one cookie and at other times we get crumbs. We must learn to balance life's blessings and challenges with equal determination and energy. Jesus helps balance life's scale. The Gospel this week shares a story of a doubting Thomas. "Unless I see the marks of the nails in his hands and feet and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." When Thomas does see our Lord and examines his hands, feet and side he responds, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus replies, "Thomas, blessed are they who have not seen and yet believe." With these words Jesus confirms that it is faith and not sight that matters.
In my own life I have often used these words from St. Thomas. I again shared with the seniors this morning that these words may be a good way to begin their day. "My Lord and my God be with me today that I might be with you. Let us share this day together. Amen!" It works for me.
Blessings to all in Christ Jesus,
John P. Jones
