Dear School Community,

We have four months left to meet our Annual Fund goal for this fiscal year. As a reminder, a contribution to the Annual Fund is tax-deductible and it helps make up the necessary funding not covered by tuition and subsidies. The school must raise 20% of the income needed to balance the budget each year, thus an ANNUAL FUND! To our parents, I realize you are paying tuition and yet I respectfully ask that you consider a contribution to so worthy a cause, our fine school. The times are demanding and yet HolyCrossSchool remains such a blessing for us and our children/grandchildren. In these difficult times, we must all carefully and wisely choose who we make donations to. I believe HolyCrossSchool is at the top of the list! Thanks so much for your support. You may send a check in to school or pledge your contribution over the next four months.

You may have noticed the beautiful Breguet Grandfather Clock in the lobby. It is a gift to HolyCrossSchool and is valued at between $1,500.00 and $1,800.00. It was made in Germany, keeps perfect time and has a beautiful chime. We plan to raffle the Grandfather clock on Grandparents' Day, May 6, 2011. Tickets are 10.00 for one and 25.00 for three. You may purchase them in the school office or call 847-5436 for further details. The clock would look great in YOUR HOME!

As we approach Lent, let us continue to pray for one another and particularly for our children and grandchildren. As the school and family, we must persevere in our ministry as teachers and parents to be the Christian example in word and deed for our children to imitate. As we count on God, God is also counting on us. May we always be mindful that God loves us and wants us to be happy. I believe genuine happiness comes from knowing, loving and serving Jesus. This Lent, in preparation for Easter, might we take the time to reflect and to give thanks to God for our many blessings... especially Holy Cross School.

With appreciation & blessings,

John P. Jones

Our Holy Cross students are always busy,

whether it is in academics, sports, or other extracurricular activities. We all enjoy seeing pictures of our students in action, and we have tried to share them on our website and in the E-Crossette.  Many of them have now been placed on one site, so it will be easier to access them.  We will be updating the pictures and school projects as they are added, so plan to re-visit the site to see what's new.  You can access the site through our Holy Cross website, by typing in the URL that is under the Gael, or by clicking on the Gael picture!

Oversized boxes needed for Prom decorations.  If you have or have access to large cardboard boxes (refrigerator, washing machine, etc. ) the Prom Decorating Committee needs them for the decorations.  Please contact Colleen Sites or Cindy Kluba.
