In this season of Advent we thank you Lord for the joy of Your forgiveness, for the assurance of Your love and for the blessings of our everyday lives. Those things which, all too often, we take for granted - our families and friends, the comfort of our homes, food, warm clothing, peace and prosperity and freedom to worship You as we want.
NJHS is Sponsoring a Food Drive to benefit Holy Cross Church's Food Pantry Dec 7th - Dec 17th. Middle and High School donations are to be delivered to your homeroom teacher. Thank you for your generosity and support.
Special Exam Announcements 1. Tuesday - Friday, Dec. 14-17, will be exam days for middle and high school students. ALL students will dismiss at 1:35 on these days. 2. Farm Basket will offer exam students the opportunity to have a substantial snack between exams while the elementary will follow a regular lunch schedule. Please follow the link to the left for the menu for next week. 3. No after school study hall will be available for athletes in the middle and high schools, so we ask parents to make appropriate arrangements for pick up on exam days. After school day care for younger students will remain available with Ms. Foster.
BA RNES & NOBLE FINAL DAYS!
Shop at Barnes & Noble now through Wednesday, December 15th and earn $$ for Holy Cross! You must have the Holy Cross v oucher or the I.D.#. (vouchers are in the office or can be printed from our website- hcrs-va.org) Call family and frien ds who may shop locally, at another location or online! Purchases towards all merchandise in the store and the café count towards our total! Get some Christmas shopping done and help our school at the same time. Mayor's Youth Council Congratulations to Elizabeth Main and Kenny Sterne who will serve on the Mayor's Youth Council this year as representatives for Holy Cross Regional Catholic School. Elizabeth and Kenny will join 23 other students who attend school in the Lynchburg area and who will serve as a liaison between the Mayor, City Council, and the leadership of the city to promote the needs of youth in the city. Congratulations to these fine representatives!

LIBRARY CHRISTMAS WISH LIST TREE The Christmas wish list program for the libraries is underway with book titles on the tree in the front lobby. If you wish to honor a Holy Cross teacher, student, or other loved one by donating a book to the library in his/her honor, pick one of the larger ornaments with book titles from the tree in the lobby. Fill out the information on the back and turn it in w/ cash or check to the office or to Mrs. Main. The books will be ordered over the break and the honored recipients notified with a letter. We need all ornaments back by Wednesday, December 15th. See Mrs. Main if you have any questions. Thanks so much for supporting this program.
NHS C ell Phone Drive The National Honor Society is collecting old, used cell phones beginning November 29 and lasting through December. Collection boxes will be located in the front lobby,cafeteria, and the back door high school entrance. All proceeds go to the Habitat for Humanity Fund. Any cell phone paraphernalia is accepted.
