Our Holy Cross faculty and staff wish each of you a very happy Thanksgiving. We are thankful for the many blessings that God has given us.
Lunch Reminders
NO LUNCH will be served on early dismissal Wednesday, November 24. Elementary students should pack a lunch and middle and high school students should pack a substantial snack for Wednesday.
PLEASE be sure your child(ren) has money to buy lunch each day. Tracking the lunch money owed creates unnecessary paperwork for the cafeteria and accounting.
Invi
tation from Second Grade
Second Grade's 24th annual production of "America is Born" will be presented Wednesday, November 24, at 12:30, in the cafeteria. Everyone is welcome to join us for the play and to sing some favorite songs. (From Mrs. Schemmel and "seconds")
A Special Thank-You
On Friday, November 19th, the 5th grade class had the
privilege of delivering 64 turkeys to Daily Bread in downtown Lynchburg. A very special thank you to Mrs. Shenigo and her 5th grade class, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, students, friends of Holy Cross School and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for your most generous donation of a turkey and/or money. Many people in the Lynchburg area will be truly blessed this Thanksgiving and throughout next year because of your kindness and thoughtfulness. May God bless you and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

SCHOLASTIC FAIR: Many thanks go out to those who supported the Scholastic book fair last week. Because of your purchases, Holy Cross profited $600.00 and was able to add $150.00 worth of books to the library centers! Thanks also to those who volunteered at the fair and sent in refreshments!
BARNES & NOBLE: Mark your calendars for the upcoming Holy Cross Barnes & Noble book fair event. For
one week beginning December 9th, Holy Cross School will earn a percentage of all purchases made by our families and friends at Barnes & Noble stores or online. You simply present the voucher to the cashier, or key in the bookfair ID # if ordering on line. (Vouchers with ID# will be given in next brown envelope but are also available in office and on website.) This is a great opportunity for Holy Cross to earn $ while we shop. All items are included: books, gifts, CDs, DVDs, etc.
On December 9th, we will have a performance by our own "Singing Angaels" at the local B & N on Wards Rd. at 6:00. Stay tuned for other activities!
