Greetings!
Parents of Elementary Students:
Our middle school choir will be meeting this term in the cafeteria during 8th period (2:25-3:10). To support them in their efforts, we have asked theelementary teachers to walk their students to the front of the school via the elementary doors and around to the front of the school at dismissal time. We will follow this dismissal routine Tuesday through Friday. We ask that you meet your children in the front of the school. On Mondays, and in the event of inclement weather, the students will dismiss as usual through the cafeteria. Thank you for helping us to create a learning environmentfor our choir during this last period of the day.

The annual Family Advent Wreath making ceremony will take place in the school cafeteria on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Music and refreshments provided. The agenda includes each family making their Advent Wreath followed by a blessing and short prayer service. Those who attend each year will attest to the significance and warmth received as families gather to begin the Advent season and to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. If you plan to attend, please bring some cut greens with you. For more information call the school office at 847-5436.
The Annual Fund continues and we remain optimistic that the school will raise the necessary $150,000.00 for budgetary purposes. We have nearly 8 months remaining to do so as the fiscal year ends on June 30, 2011. As we approach the Thanksgiving and Advent/Christmas seasons, we all recognize our many blessings and opportunities we have to give. With this in mind, and with the knowledge and appreciation that you are already paying tuition, I ask that you consider giving a Thanksgiving/Christmas gift to the school with an Annual Fund donation or pledge. Tuition covers about 75% of our annual operating costs thus we have a necessary annual appeal to raise the balance. I think a tax-deductible contribution to our wonderful Holy Cross School, perhaps in honor of your son/daughter or other family member would make the perfect gift! Thank you!
