Pat and Karl Rony for a wonderful PTO 2010 - 2011 Directory! Thank you
both for your hard work pulling together the information and for personally typing,
organizing, printing, and spiral binding over 200 directories. All
families should have received a copy in their brown envelope.
More Great News to Share ...
In addition to William Loftus who was named a National Merit
Semifinalist on September 15, Holy Cross Regional Catholic School
just received notification on another student's academic prowess.
Congratulations to Tanya Arthornsombat who received a Letter of
Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program for her outstanding
performance on the PSAT in 2009. Last year, 1.6 million juniors
took the PSAT, and only 34,000 nationwide received the Letter of
Commendation.
Both Tanya Arthornsombat as a Commended Student and William Loftus as a
National Semifinalist should be congratulated on this prestigious academic
honor.
Innisbrook Sale Sponsored by After Prom
Ready to start your Christmas shopping? Looking for great gift ideas or
just need to treat yourself with some goodies? High School students
are selling Innisbrook products - a brand that has a long history of high
quality items for reasonable prices. And shopping is easier than
ever! Just see a High School student, grades 9 - 12, and check out a
brochure. If you are an online shopper, go to Innisbrook.com and place
an order yourself. You can have items shipped to the school and send
your check made payable to Holy Cross School to the office or you can
have items delivered directly to your home and pay with a credit card. Friends and family from all over the country can order when you give
them our school code 105349. Shopping dates are October 4th - 25th. That's all you need to support our school and After Prom!
High School Parents:
Look for Innisbrook information to come home Monday with your student. Selling begins October 4th for After Prom.
Pig Races on November 20th!
Sponsor a pig for the races at Gaels
Corral and Casino night, then use your family name, business name, or
let your child pick a name. You will hear your name called out as the
races go on through the night. Sponsor one for your child's class and
let the class pick the name. Racing pigs are $100 each. Email pto@hcrs-va.org if you would like to sponsor a pig for the races!

share with you a letter I received from Sister Claire Debes, a Daughter
of Charity and a former administrator at Holy Cross School. I had
written to the Daughters of Charity expressing the school's sympathy
with the passing of Sr. Roseann Hitchens, also a Daughter and former Holy

GRAM! After Prom is taking orders for BOO Grams. The orders need to be to the front office NO later then October 22nd. We have M&M's, Skittle's, and Reese's Pieces to pick from. All BOO
Grams are $1.00. Show your BOO's how much you love them.
Free Classes at Dance Theatre of Lynchburg
The Dance
Theatre of Lynchburg is offering a free Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop or Tap dance
class to any student ages 3 - 18. For a schedule of all classes and a
Free Class Ticket, please see Pat LeDonne. Only 15 tickets, so it will be first
come first serve.
