Root Beer and Coke Floats Thursday, September 30th: Support JV Volleyball as they raise money to purchase athletic
jackets for their team. On Thursday, September 30th during all
lunches, the JV Volleyball team will be selling Root Beer and Coke floats for
only $1.00. Elementary students have order forms that were sent home in Friday's
green folders. Please return forms and money on Monday Sept. 27th.
Middle and High school students, bring your money on Thursday to purchase
floats. All donations accepted.
PTO News Didn't get your gently used items to the yard sale? You
can take your like-new items to the ETC Consignment Shop on Old Forest
Road (between Kings Island and Kroger) and tell them you are donating
for Holy Cross School. Then the school receives 50% of whatever the
shop earns on those items. So check your closets and use your extra
things to earn us extra money!
Dear School
Community... I send this note to remind everyone that Deacon Gordon
Cartwright is with us in the Chapel every Tuesday morning at 7:40 to
celebrate his weekly prayer/reflection and Holy Communion service. Those who
regularly attend will tell you that it is an outstanding way to begin the day
and to remain spiritually focused for the week. Deacon Gordon gives his
reflections on the gospel, we offer general prayers of petition, and we share
the sign of peace and collectively recite the Lord's Prayer. We then
receive Holy Communion and recite a closing prayer while receiving the final
blessing. All (faculty/staff, students and parents) are invited to attend. We
believe you too will agree that it is an uplifting experience. See you on
Tuesday!
Additionally, I thank those of you who have already made a
contribution to the Annual Fund. It is encouraging to have the
"in-house" groups contribute in that it becomes compelling
testimony, if you will... a witness for our other constituents in the many
different places they now reside. Remember, our goal is to have 100 percent of
the faculty/staff, parents and board member(s) contribute. Every donation
is significant and tax-deductible. Thanks so much for your support. God Bless, John P. Jones
