New Sign
Greetings!

  September 5, 2010

New School Sign
The new school street sign is completed, and we are grateful to those who helped make it possible. We thank Wayne Booth and Melvin Hinton from Bat Masonry who donated all the brick work. We thank Mark Maslow and Timmy Colbird from the Southern Landscape Group for the donated landscaping. We thank Tony and Scott McBride for the decorative and electronic components to the sign. The McBride family has a long history with Holy Cross as all of the children graduated from our school. We thank the City of Lynchburg for working with us as we had some hurdles to climb with the school's zoning assignment. We thank Fred Hickey from Hickey Electric for his services. We also thank Ron Farringer for working with all of these supportive groups. Together we can now enjoy electronic messages about our school and community! GO GAELS!

Please join us in prayer as we remember Sister Roseann Hitchens who recently passed away. Sr. Roseann was stationed at Holy Cross School for a number of years and she served this school community with dignity and grace. May her reward be great in Heaven.

Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is now underway and our goal for this year is $150,000.00. Each school family will receive an information envelope about the Annual Fund. Our school wide goal is to have 100% of our families, faculty/staff and board members contribute to the fund. When we do this, we send a powerful and compelling message to our other constituents about the commitment we have to HolyCrossSchool and what it means to us. The money we raise is a budgeted amount and we depend on it to cover our remaining costs after tuition and subsidies. I believe, as do you, that HolyCrossSchool is one of the best investments any of us could make. With our trust in God and together with all those who are so willing to support us, we will make it happen!
