Dear CIS Families
I hope you had an enjoyable weekend. As a reminder, we have a short week this week. There will be no school on Friday, March 2nd. This will be a professional development day for our CIS Staff and Teachers.
A note on student's being dropped off too early or picked up too late. MYP students arriving before 7:45 must be in tutoring or the before care program. PYP students arriving before 8:00 a.m. must also be in tutoring or in before care. All students arriving before their designated time that are NOT in tutoring will be placed in Before Care with Ms. Gaby Escobedo. The fee for Before Care is $5.00 per day, per child.
PYP students need to be picked up no later than 3:10 p.m. PYP students not picked up by 3:10 p.m. need to be in a club, tutoring, or in the After Care Program. MYP students need to be picked up no later than 3:25 p.m. MYP students not picked up by 3:25 p.m. need to be in a club, tutoring, or in the After Care Program.
*Parents of students not picked up by their designated time will be called and charged a fee of $5.00 per 30 minutes, per child.. The fee is to cover the cost of having a CIS staff member supervising these students. This new process will begin tomorrow, Monday, February 27th.
In order to avoid this fee, it is essential that you either:
1. Pick up your student by the designated time OR
2. Ensure your student is enrolled in a club or tutoring OR
3. Ensure your student is enrolled in the After Care program just in case you are running late. The After Care Program fees are much less than those of CIS staff.

I hope you have a great week.
Warmest Regards,
Dr. Elsy Diaz
Head Administrator

LEARNER PROFILE
PRINCIPLED
Learners act with integrity and honesty, and a strong sense of fairness, justice and respect for the dignity of the individual, groups and communities. They take responsibility for their own actions and the consequences that accompany them.
Self-assessment is necessary when speaking of being a principled person. Here are questions for us to use to
ponder as we ask ourselves, "Am I a principled person?"
Do we always try to do what is right, even when it's costly or difficult?
Do we live up to the highest ethical standards?
Do we compromise our values and give in to temptation?
Do we take responsibility for what goes on in our community?
Do we do our part for the common good?
Do we help take care of the environment?
Do we participate in community service?
Do we make decisions without favoritism?
Do we do the right thing even when no one is looking and we are guaranteed to not get caught?
Are we true to ourselves?
