We have learned of a bill that could dramatically reduce charter school funding. We encourage you to call or email your legislators this weekend, voicing opposition to "Substitute HB228." The bill will be heard in the House Education Committee on Monday morning, so we need to get the word out quickly. Your message could be as simple as:

"I am a parent of a child who is receiving an excellent education in a charter school. Please do not undermine the stability of [her/his] school by drastically reducing its funding. Please oppose Substitute HB228."

Be sure to leave your name, community, and phone or email.  Messages can be left for members of the committee and your own legislator.
