Thank you to the parents and staff who showed up Saturday to help organize our storage unit and inventory our musical instrument donations!
We value the contributions of all of our volunteers at CIS!! Thank you to all of you who read in the classrooms, help with the hot lunch program, chaperone field trips and show up to help rearrange furniture and help with odd jobs around the school! We are a better place with your help.
For those of you wondering how you too can help, stop by and talk to Tara at the front desk to get a background check form!

Childcare
In-Service Childcare Nov 21 & 22! Child Care will be available on Monday and Tuesday November 21 & 22. Hopefully this is an option that will be helpful for parents who are working before the Thanksgiving Holiday. Care will be provided by Jennifer Martyn from 7:30am-5:30pm. The charge is $20.00 for a half day, $40 for a whole day, or $5 per hour for drop-in times. Students who are staying for the whole day should bring a lunch. Picture Retakes
Ken Brown Photography will provide picture retakes on December 1st from 9 am to 9:30 am at CIS. Please bring your proofs and payment on that day!
If you are not having retakes done, please bring your order form and payment to CIS by tomorrow, Wednesday, November 16th.
Orders can also be made online at kenbrownorder.com using your the pass code provided on your proofs. If you no longer have your code, please contact them at 1-800-657-2785

Hot Lunch Orders
If you will be ordering hot lunch for December, please turn in your calendar order form (one per child) and your payment ASAP!
Checks are payable to Aaron's Sandwich Time. Meals are $3.00 for salad bar, hot main dish and milk or water. Box salads with egg and or chicken are available for the same price. If you would like to purchase a salad bar only option the cost is $2.00 per day.
Please include your child's name, grade and the amount of payment included on your child's order form. Thank you!

PTA Fundraiser
The RuMe Bag Fundraiser is over. PTA's goal was to raise $1,000.00. The PTA will be sending a check in the amount of $4144.60 and we will be getting 50% of that amount back!!!
We also received two donations during this fundraiser in the amount of $200.00 The biggest seller was the Marbury Family raising over $400.00.....

Fall Book Fair
Volunteers needed! Our Fall Book Fair will be held December 8th-15th. If you are interested in working a shift or you are able to help with planning, promoting, set-up or take-down, please contact Tammy Spatz at tamspatz@gmail.com. We will have shifts available before and after school, Saturday morning, Monday evening and various times throughout the day, TBD. For those of you that are new to Book Fair, books are purchased on the spot making this a great way to do some holiday shopping while helping CIS at the same time. All proceeds from the sale are used to purchase books for our library. See you there!

CIS Food Pantry
Hello CIS Families!
The holiday season is upon us and we have a great way to teach your children about the spirit of giving. We have CIS families who are really struggling and I know we all have big hearts and want to do something to help. I am asking each family who is able to bring in to the school on Fridays in December, one or both of the following items (designated by your child's grade) to help the families over the long holiday break:
Kindergarten: 1 can of cranberries/2 cans other vegetable
1st Grade: 2 cans green beans/1 can French onions
2nd Grade : 1 Box Turkey stuffing/1 box or can of broth
3rd Grade: 1 box corn bread mix/1 box muffin mix
4th Grade: 1 box pumpkin bread/ 1 box instant mashed potatoes
5th Grade: 1 can Pineapple/2 cans other fruit
6th Grade: 2 cans cream mushroom soup/1 can or packet gravy
7th Grade: 1 box pancake mix/1 bottle syrup
8th Grade: 1 can chicken or other meat/ 1 loaf bread
HighSchool: Box oatmeal/box rice or pasta
If you are interested in donating a frozen turkey or other frozen item, please call me and I will arrange a pick up. Call me with any questions. Karen Grending 463-6801. Thank you!

Start Time: 3:00 Income is not verified so you don't need to bring any documents. Please bring a box or other item such as a laundry basket to put the food in.

Winter Shop N'Stroll
The cold weather and holiday season celebrations are around the corner! Mark your calendars for the CIS Winter Shop N' Stroll that is scheduled for December 10th at 10:00 am -12:30pm. This is a family event with a "Kids only Shopping" area!
The shopping area is made possible by donations of articles by CIS families. We need all your extra, unwanted, "stuff" for the shopping area. This is a great opportunity to do some fall cleaning! Examples of items to donate are: unopened lotions, soaps, holiday ornaments, gifts that were given to you that you don't know what to do with, old jewelry, etc.
**It is greatly appreciated if you would please pre-mark the items you donate with a price. Last year we had items from .10 cents to $1.00, please mark your items with what you think is a fair price.

Winter Quilt Raffle
Keep warm this winter with a beautiful, homemade lap quilt! The quilt is 62"x 62", made with 100% cotton and backed with flannel for extra comfort. Look for flyers with pictures of this beautiful quilt in your child's backpack after the Thanksgiving Holiday break!
Tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5!
Please return the tickets and money to your teacher by December 9th.
The drawing will be held at the CIS Winter Shop N'Stroll on December 10th, 2011. Need not be present to win.
