How To Get Involved
|
At CIS, we recognize that one of the best predictors of academic success is parent involvement. We encourage each of you to become involved through our active PTA, as classroom volunteers, and through our many events held throughout the year. Events such as the Jog-a-thon and International Day bring our community together both for fun and in support of school priorities.

School Advisory Committee
Our School Advisory Committee (SAC) is recruiting a volunteer representative for grades 4 and 9/10. Welcome to the new volunteers to join the SAC; Anna Prewitt is the new Kinder rep, Gabe St. Remy is the new 5th grade representative and Patti Brainard and Martha Villa are the new co-reps for 6th grade! And thanks to Megan Walsh (1st grade rep) for becoming the new Chair.
The SAC collaborates with the
Head Administrator on many aspects of the school's management and processes. Please contact Megan Walsh at [email protected] if you are interested.
Sponsor an After School Club!
If you'd like to sponsor a club either before or after school, please contact Tara Armijo-Prewitt at [email protected] or 304-0672.
We are actively seeking a volleyball coach, a yearbook sponsor, a journalism volunteer and a Imagination Destination co-sponsor!
Volunteer in the Classroom
Check with your child's teacher to see how you can help! All volunteers must undergo an APS background check. If yours has lapsed or you have yet to have one done, please stop by the front desk and ask Tara for the form!
PTA
Join our PTA! Teachers, staff and families come together to support the International School mission. The support we receive from each of you is invaluable. Next meeting is September 20th at 6 pm at CIS--FREE childcare will be provided!
To help out with our upcoming International Day Fair, contact Monet Silva-Caldwell ([email protected]) or Tara Armijo-Prewitt ([email protected]) for more information! This event will be tons of fun and you can make a difference by helping make this awesome event happen!
