Hello CIS Parents,            

In my previous bus letter I stated that you could possibly receive reimbursement from APS, and use that money towards the bus. I stand corrected. APS will not reimburse you if you use the bus. 

However, the information below is true and if you can take advantage of this, check the Website below and contact the office to start your paperwork.

If you reside in a school district that is considered a Title 1 School and that would have been the school your child would have attended, then you are eligible for reimbursement by APS.  For example, if your child would have attended Polk MS, it is a Title 1 school, and your child is going to Corrales International, which met the AYP standards, then you are eligible for reimbursement.  The amount of your reimbursement is $.35/mi up to $10/day and is based on your mileage from your student's home school to their transfer school and the student's attendance for the month.
