Dear CIS Families:

This is an updated version of the newsletter I sent yesterday.  I have corrected the website link information for the uniforms, the name of the person that needs our thank you notes for the instruments and hopefully most of my spelling errors.  Thank you for your understanding.

Dear CIS Families:

I hope you have had an enjoyable summer. I have had a wonderful busy summer with my children and grandchildren.  I have been traveling to several cities in Texas and the heat has been unbearable.

We received an amazing donation of musical instruments this summer.  Please send thank you notes to:

Mr. Gerald Friedkin

480 3rd Street

Oakland, CA 94607

GFRIEDKIN@friedkinprop.com

Also a great big thank you to Robyn Clarke, Peter Lukes, Rick and Lindsey Johnson, who made the trip to Santa Fe to load a truck full of instruments and then return the next day to unload the truck into a storage unit.

I would like to bid farewell to Sandy Shepard our school receptionist.  Sandy has accepted employment at another charter school.  I know you join me in thanking her for her two years of service to our school and wish her well in her new career.

Another change in our school is the promotion of Frank Volpe as our new Assistant Principal.  Mr. Volpe has been invaluable to our school wearing many hats and taking on many duties.  Congratulations Mr. Volpe!

Please read this entire issue for information to help you get READY for our next school year, which begins August 15th.

Continue enjoying your summer.  See you soon!

Dr. Elsy Diaz

Head Administrator
