Dear CIS Families As we complete our weeks in studying the Learner Profile of Caring, we will begin a fundraising activity with our students to raise funds for the children and families in Pakistan affected by the devastating flooding on July 29th. The flooding in Pakistan has left millions of children homeless and at risk of disease. There are approximately 8.5 million children in need of our assitance.
This week our teachers and students will begin collecting funds to donate to one of the following organizations. Please take this oppourtnuty to speak with your student regarding the flooding in Pakistan and our role as World Citizens. |
Student Safety Please keep in mind some of these safety precautions to keep our students safe.
- Students cannot be picked up after 3:20 from their classrooms.
- All students will be dismissed at 3:30 from the pick-up/drop-off area (Midway Blvd. entrance).
- Since we have 70 more students this school year, some of you may choose to park on Midway Blvd. and walk to get your children from the pick-up area.
- Please be aware that there is a STOP sign in the parking lot to allow pedestrians to cross.
- Students not picked up by 3:40 will be taken to the Aftercare Program by their teacher. There is a charge for Aftercare service.
We ask that you abide by these safety precautions. Remember, your children are watching you and learning from your actions. |

We have a nice north window wall. Geraniums and coleus would be nice and would add real, live color! Please come visit us in our new and growing library/media center. Hope to see you soon!
