Dear CIS Families:
I want to thank all of our CIS families for making this the most awesome, sensational, and all around terrific Teacher Appreciation Week. The teachers received gifts and goodies galore! I know the teachers truly felt appreciated and most of all LOVED. We all gained a few more pounds too! Many thanks also to all who have stepped up to help us maintain our school clean, contributed monetarily, and have volunteered in so many of our school committees, i.e, School Advisory Council, Fundraising, PTA, and our dedicated Governing Council Members who work behind the scenes guiding us towards achieving the goals of our charter. Your generosity IS truly appreciated. |

| Jog-A-Thon | | May 12
Jog-A-Thon is this coming Wednesday! Please hurry and sign-up all your donors so you can collect top prizes:
1st place: 2 passes to Cliffs
2nd place: 2 passes to the Stone Age Climbing Gym
3rd place: 2 movie passes
Remember: 1) Students need to wear proper attire, shorts, shoes, hat, and sunblock! 2) students can turn money in anytime before May 17th 3)The class who raises the most money gets an ICE CREAM PARTY on May 21st
Schedule:
8:45 a.m. Assembly
9:00 a.m. Jog-A-Thon begins with kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders (3-7 grades will cheer)
9:30 a.m. Jog-A-Thon continues with 3rd, 6th, and 7th graders (K-2 grades will cheer)
10:00-10:15 a.m. Jog-A-Thon concludes and clean up

| Summer School Enrichment | Session 1: June 7-July 2 Session 2: July 5-July 30
We are curetnly enrolling students for our Summer Enrichment program. Deadline for enrollinig students is May 21st. Our CIS website is now set up to accept credit cards. This is a secure site through United Payment Services. Pleased support our school by enrolling your children and spreading the word about our Summer Enrichment program. | Garage Sale | | May 21-22
The CIS Garage Sale is coming up! The Mathisen family will be hosting it at their house in Corrales this year on Friday, May 21st and Saturday May 22nd. Start gathering your items now. We will provide information on when and where to drop off your donations. If you are able to price some or all of your items before dropping them off it would be greatly appreciated. We need lots of volunteers to help setup, work the event, and provide goodies for the bake sale. Please email Tammy Spatz at tspatz@comcast.net if you are able to help. | CIS Uniform Closet | |
Recycle CIS Uniforms
Bring in CIS Uniforms your children have outgrown. We have a bin in the atrium to collect donated items such as; shirts, sweatshirts and uniform appropriate bottoms. The Uniform Closet will open before the next school year to coincide with the ordering of new uniforms. This date will be announced soon. All questions regarding the CIS Uniform Closet need to be referred to Rianne at rianne1134@yahoo.com |
