FROM THE PRESIDENT...
Our all-too-brief summer is on its way out and now is the time to shift our focus to indoor activities - and we have lots planned for the next few months!
First on the calendar is the next chapter meeting, which will be held at Ethan Allen in Lynnwood on September 21st. Devine Paint's creator, Gretchen Shauffler, will be speaking about color. Head up north and join us!
Kicking off Design Awareness month: On October 1 & 2 the intrepid and overworked, but always incredible Ways and Means Chairperson, Kenna Stout, along with her fabulous committee members, are producing "Focus on Design 2010" at the Seattle Design Center. Reservation forms have been emailed - please sign up now for the seminars that interest you. This will be THE event of the fall at the SDC - plan to attend!
By-law changes: We will be sending out the proposed changes to all designer members in "good standing"
during the month of September. After reading, please cast your vote
early so that we can get new documents printed up for all members in October. There will be no chapter meeting in October - Focus on Design 2010 will take the place of our regular meeting. I hope to see you at Ethan Allen in Lynnwood September 21st!

Congratulations to two of our board members, Craig Sawyer and Richard Landon, who have had projects published or have won awards for their work recently - kudos!

could use a volunteer to collect the "split the pot" monies at the
regular meetings each month as members check in at the door. The volunteer will be rewarded for their
efforts by being able to can put their card in the pot for FREE for that
