Bobcat

North County Triage Center
Treats Bobcat Kitten

Bobcat

Thanks to PW, this juvenile Bobcat

will have a second chance at life

 in the wild.

While Project Wildlife does not currently have the facilities to treat large mammal species long-term, we often provide them with much-needed triage care. And that's precisely what happened earlier this month when our North County Triage Center received in a young Bobcat displaying partial paralysis.

The orphaned Bobcat kitten was covered from head-to-toe in ticks, which were soon found to be the cause of her paralysis. PW staff and volunteers carefully removed more than 150 ticks from the kitten and stabilized her for transfer to our friends at Fund For Animals Wildlife Center in Ramona.

Thanks to PW's readily available triage care, this little Bobcat has a head start in her recovery and return to the wild.

Without YOU!

YOU are the necessary ingredient in our recipe for improving quality of life for San Diego's wildlife. Without our supporters, we wouldn't be where we are today. Thank you for your continued support!

Double Racoons

Thank you for helping us meet our 2011 Matching Campaign fundraising goal!

Matching Gift
Campaign Goal Met!

Thank you to everyone who donated during our Matching Gifts campaign!  We met our goal to raise $70,000 by June 30, which will be generously matched dollar-for-dollar by longtime Project Wildlife volunteers Rita and Brys Myers.

The funds will support Project Wildlife's essential community services by providing specialized food, medication, veterinary care
and caging for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife patients.

Community Contributions

Project Wildlife is supported solely by individual donations, grants and community foundations. Our sincere gratitude goes out to these organizations for their continued support via charitable grants received this quarter:

Ellen Browning Scripps Foundation

Ark Antiques for Animal Charities

San Diego County Board of Supervisors
