MEDALLION NEWSLETTER
Greetings!
We hope this edition of the Medallion Newsletter finds you well.  This is a special FAFSA edition of the Medallion Newsletter.

The 2011 FAFSA form is now available online! (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/)  We are here to help you figure out how to get the most financial aid out of the FAFSA.  You do not have to go through this process alone.  Please know that we're here to help answer questions and to connect you to resources that will help you pay for school.

We work closely with ACCESS Boston to get help with financial aid planning for college.  ACCESS has trained financial aid counselors who know all of the ins and outs of applying for financial aid.

Fill out your FAFSA with ACCESS Boston

Filling out the FAFSA can be a little confusing, but there is help available!  We are offering three opportunities for you to connect to ACCESS so they can help filling out the FAFSA and CSS profiles for those who need it.

Option 1: Boston Public (and some Boston Private) School Students Can Meet with an ACCESS Counselor in Your School

All Boston Public and some Boston-area Private schools have ACCESS Financial Aid Counselors assigned to their schools.  You can meet with a counselor at your school and receive help completing any financial aid paperwork at your school.  Click here to find your counselor.

Option 2: Crossroads/C5 New England Family at ACCESS

ACCESS is opening their doors and offering financial aid counseling to C5 families on Saturday, February 5, 9am-1pm.  This is a great day to come in to get help with your financial aid questions.  Transportation will be available from Brockton and Cape Cod.  Teens can come by themselves or bring family members to help with financial aid info.  You do not need to stay the entire time--it is more of an Open House format where people can come in at any time.

[Please RSVP for this by Monday, January 24--we will be in touch with transportation details once you RSVP]

Option 3: Walk-in Hours at ACCESS Boston

Victoria and Austin will be at ACCESS next week on Tuesday, Jan. 11 and Thursday, Jan. 13 to be there when you meet with an ACCESS counselor.  Transportation will be available from Brockton High (outside the Admin Building) at 2:15.

[Please RSVP for this by Sunday, January 9]
