Greetings!

Welcome to the latest edition of the Hammer Class Newsletter!  We send it out once each month with information that will be useful to you.

We don't have all of the Hammer's e-mail addresses just yet, so please tell your fellow Hammers to send us their e-mail addresses so we can start sending them the newsletter as well!

Thank you,

The Crossroads for Kids Team
Which Colleges Will We Visit on the College Tour?

After some great brainstorming at Northeastern last month, we have a great starting point to choose colleges for the College Tour.

Please help us to narrow the list down and add any other colleges that might be interesting to you.

Work with the Avon Walk Youth Crew!

The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Youth Crew allows young people (ages 10-16) to participate and experience the entire Event.  This program suggests that young people are capable of contributing to the Event, can get an enormous amount out of the service, and can enhance the experience of all Walk participants.

Application & Selection Process:
Like any other Crew Team, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Youth Crew has a limited amount of spots (this number varies by city, but is usually between 8 and 20).  Potential Youth Crew members complete a formal application, including an essay describing why they want to participate, how they would contribute, and what they would get out of it.  Volunteer Youth Crew Team Leaders and Avon Walk Staff review all applications, interview the kids, and make final selections.

Please contact Emily (emily@crossroads4kids.org) or Austin (austin@crossroads4kids.org) if you are interested in applying.  Applications are due December 6!
