MDS3.0 Updates
The MDS 3.0 April 1st release will contain data specification changes and new/updated error messages. A software upgrade will be required to capture the changes. Contact your software vendor if you have not received a software upgrade before April 1, 2011.

JRAVEN Update to Support MDS3.0 Changes:
JRAVEN 1.1.0 will be available after March 29th at:
https://www.qtso.com/ravendownload.html.
A patch and a full install will be offered. Please note that the patch can only be applied over an existing version 1.0.5 of JRAVEN. Features included in this release are:

MDS 3.0 Roster and MDS 3.0 Missing Assessment Reports Issue An issue was identified which resulted in discharged resident information displaying on the MDS 3.0 Roster and the MDS 3.0 Missing Assessment reports.
MDS 3.0 Roster Report - Correction and Enhancement The issue with the MDS 3.0 Roster report has been corrected and the enhanced version of the report is available in the MDS 3.0 NH Provider report category in the CASPER Reporting application.
The MDS 3.0 Roster report was also enhanced to remove the 180-day resident information display limitation that was previously in effect.
Resident information is no longer removed from the report when the target date of the last OBRA assessment is greater than 180 days from the report run date. The updated MDS 3.0 Roster report information is available in the CASPER Reporting User's Guide.
MDS 3.0 Missing Assessment Report Correction of the issue resulting in discharged resident information displaying on the MDS 3.0 Missing Assessment report is ongoing. A QTSO memo will be sent when the enhanced MDS 3.0 Missing Assessment report is available.

Life Safety Code - NFPA Specifies Protocols When Out of Service |

NFPA 101(00), Sections 9.6.1.8 and 9.7.6.1, specify that where a required fire alarm or fire sprinkler system is out of service for more than 4 hours in a 24-hour period, the AHJ must be notified and the building evacuated or an approved fire watch be provided.
