What's New for 2012
Improvements for 2012 were started as early July of 2011. After 16 years of continually making improvement to camp we have finally run out of electrical power. Planning with Atlantic City Electric began in July and as soon as camp was over we began a project to double our power. Although it does not sound glamorous for our campers it will allow us to continue to make further camp wide improvements.
We have also replaced one-third of our pool decking. An additional 4000 square foot patio was added between the pool and the blue pavilion. New picnic tables, umbrellas and lounge chairs were ordered to provide a beautiful seating area.

Our computer room is being updated and converted to an XBOX 360 room. Ten 32" LCD flat screen televisions have already been purchased. Our campers were playing CD-ROM games on our computers at a very slow pace. The upgrade to XBOX will allow campers to play higher quality, age appropriate games. All of the systems will be connected to allow multiple campers to play a single game in unison thereby encouraging teamwork and cooperation. The remaining computers will be used to create a Junior Camp Computer Room in one of our existing rooms.
Uncle Mike Spano, our Facilities Director, will also be building a new 30' x 25' pavilion next to our existing pavilionswhite tent sat next to the red pavilion each year. This winter Mike will replace it with a permanent structure. It will add additional shaded and rainy day program space. It is also integrated into the new pool patio for a wonderful place to host a family reunion, corporate picnic or party.
Additional camp-wide improvements include the repainting of the entire boys locker room, retiling of the girls locker room floor and installing new carpet in the office. Thanks to our parent vendors at Burlington Carpets and Genovese Roofing who helped make these projects possible.
