Junior Camp
International Week - This week has brought fun from far away. The deck was decorated with flags from around the world and coloring books featured friends from new places to color. On Wednesday, we listened to stories featured from around the world with wonderful storyteller. The campers were so enthralled with the stories that not one camper moved in their spots. Finally on Thursday our international field day was made up of events that included, building the Eiffel Tower, making sushi, tossing the boomerang. It has been an fun week in Junior Camp.

Middle and Senior Camp
Middle and Senior Campers were treated to an extra surprise this week when we had a surprise visit from the IDance company. IDance provided us with many dance mats, a hugh screen to follow along and our own DJ. A good time was had by all while the music and feet tried to keep up. It was a very exciting surprise for everyone!
In addition to IDance Middle and Senior Camp had their first every Tapu-ae tournament. Winners are below. |

Counselors in Training
This was an exciting week for the CITs because they were treated to a wonderful trip with their friends to Wildwood. The sun was shinning and the boardwalk has much to make a camper happy. Finally to cool off at the end of the day, Splash Zone was the place to be. Everyone came back to camp tired but happy! |

The winners of this week's Bunk Oscars were 3G, 1B, 9B, 16B, 12B, 12G, 15G. These bunks were nominate by counselors as having the best sportsmanship and exemplary behavior. Congratulations to the winners!!
Tapu-ae Tournament - Our first ever Tapu-ae Tournament was quite a success. Last year we introduced this New Zealand game and it has become a hit here at camp. Tournaments are a much anticipated event and now that Tapu-ae has joined the line up, it is sure to become a Tall Pines favorite.

5 Year Jackets and Pins - It was an exciting day at Tall Pines when campers and staff received their 5 year jackets. Of course it was a perfect day for jackets with the summer heat. No doubt fall will be here before we know it.
In addition, our campers are receiving their Tall Pines Pins acknowledging the number of years a camper has attended Tall Pines. These pins are replacing the yearly plaques. It will be fun to watch their collections grow each year.
