Our spiritual well-being is closely tied to our physical well-being. Our lives are like miniature cities in the complexity of its systems. From our physical bodies, to how we interact with others, infrastructure is required to keep things running smoothly. If the goal is greater efficiency, all systems need to work together in harmony.
On the path to becoming more spiritual, more in harmony with the world around us, we can't ignore the mundane realities of life. Like the frame of a house, or our bodies' skeletal system, structure lends definition. It's how we create form on the material level. Imagine a trellis for grape vines as the infrastructure. If it's weak, there's nothing upon which the fruit can establish itself.
Harmony on the physical level creates harmony on the spiritual level. Let life's tasks slide for too long without upgrades and maintenance, and watch your life crumble like ancient runes after an earthquake.
Here's the true test to see if your life is working. Ask yourself the following questions: Are you manifesting the fruits of the spirit in all areas of your life right now?

If you don't currently see these fruits throughout your life, look to where there might be breakdowns in your infrastructure.
Want more love in your life? Create love around honoring what works in your life, your friends and family, spirituality, and home.
Want more life? Structure your diet around fresh, organic, non-processed home cooked meals.
Want more light? Shed light on your calendaring system by adding reminders to keep on top of commitments, due dates, events, and being on time, every time.
Want more peace? Create peace around managing your finances, bills, money, cash flow, and debt.
Want more beauty? Create beauty in your closets and storage areas as if they were works of art. Have systems to manage mail, miscellaneous paper, and goods in order to manage clutter.
Want more joy? Create joy around daily health regimes like yoga or walking, and getting plenty of water and rest.
Want more truth? Speak only that which fits within these guidelines: 1. Is it true? 2. Is it kind? 3. Is it necessary?
When handled consciously and creatively, the building blocks of our material world have a practical, positive effect on our lives. By creating structure throughout our life and maintaining the discipline to follow through on those structures, we create consistency and continuity. We feel safe and secure, which creates harmony and balance. And that leads to the spiritual attributes of ease and grace.
Take time to create and maintain structure in all areas of your life. Build a framework upon which to grow your spiritual fruit. A little effort goes a long way to creating peace and harmony in your life and in the world.
Namaste,
Debbie
