The Sun recently made its return to Leo. The Sun rules Leo, so it's like the King has returned to his castle from his year-long travel around the zodiac. He's happy to be home and to sit on his throne. There's a natural benevolence available to us at this time if we tap into it.
Leo rules creativity, fun, games, gambling, parties, drama, theater, children, romance, and love. Leo's love to be in love! During this time of Leo, where can you add some fun and games to your life? Parties, picnics, out door activities, athletics, all fall under to domain of Leo. Take your inner child out for a play date this month!
Leo rules the heart and back. This is a good time to take care of your cardiovascular health. Maybe get that checkup you've been putting off. Grab a friend and start a walking program to help strengthen your heart and lungs. Get going on that yoga practice you've been meaning start to strengthen your core and support your back. And I know just the place for that! :)
On an emotional level, do you take your heart into consideration, or do you just follow your head? When you're guided from the heart, it's not always logical, or makes sense to other people. It's what your soul wants, not what other people want for you. How can you tune out your logical side and tune into your heart this month? Where are you willing to take a risk (another Leo key word)?
Leo's phrase is "I will." When a Leo tells you they will do something, you can all but guarantee it will happen, sooner or later. It's fixed fire. Fixed means it's tenacious, steadfast in its purpose and mission, resolute in its determination to see something through to the end. Fire = enthusiasm, ego, passion, spirit, charisma.
During the next four weeks or so, think about where you can direct your will toward a mission or purpose. Where can you keep your gaze steady on your intention? That's what you will manifest.
In order to transcend the limitations of a sign, we look to it's opposite for balance. In this case its Aquarius, the humanitarian, for the good of all, not just me and mine. Less passion, more mental discernment. An example: Mr. Spock as the logical, cool, calm Aquarius, and Captain Kirk the passionate, dramatic Leo.
Remember that king returning to the throne? By sublimating our powerful will and strong ego to be of benefit to all of mankind, we step into our royal birthright. By directing our passions towards a cause greater than ourselves, we influence others to do the same.
Where can you direct your will and your ego towards a higher good? What steps will you take this month to break free from the bounds of the small self to the higher self? Start by letting loose and having fun, a Leo key word. If life's not fun, what's the point?!
I leave you with the lyrics from a popular yoga song that fits with the Sun in Leo theme. "May the long time Sun shine upon you. May all love surround you. And the pure light within you, guide your way home."
Namaste,
Debbie
