CONGRATULATIONS 
 
Class of 2012 on their graduation in May!

 

SBL Scholars Katey Finnegan ('12)Greg Woodburn ('12) and Ayushi Gummadi ('12) were designated as USC Scholars and honored in a ceremony on May 10th. Their names will appear on the USC Wall of Scholars in Leavey Library. 
 
SBL Scholar Alex Duong ('12) received a Top Undergraduate Business Plan Award and Entrepreneurial Values Award from the USC Greif Center and also received the USC Global Scholar Designation. 

 

Society and Business Fellow Takuya Hoshino (MBA '13) and his wife on the birth of a daughter, Yurika, in April.  

 

Mariana Amatullo, founder of Designmatters and adviser to SBL, on being the inaugural winner of the 2012 Dell Social Innovation Education Award.

 

COMMUNITY UPDATES

  

In January, SBL Scholar Ayushi Gummadi ('12) will teach English in South Africa through the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Program. 
 
SBL Scholar Tameca Davis ('12) has accepted a full-time position with TJX Companies. 

 

This month, SBL Senior Fellow Fran Seegull will speak at the Los Angeles branch of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank on "Funding the Cost of Federal and State Guarantees: Sources and Structure of Capital".

 

SBL Fellow Cristian Liu (MBA '13) will intern this summer at Booz & Company with a focus on the healthcare industry. 


SBL Fellow Jennifer May (MBA '13) was selected as an Education Pioneer Fellow. She will work this summer on charter conversions with ExED.

 

SBL Fellow Sean Mendy (MBA '13) will intern this summer at Causes.com.
