Greetings!
Two concepts that are at the very core of Marshall and USC are 'entrepreneurship' and 'service to society'. In perfect alignment with those ideas, we are excited to announce the creation of an interdisciplinary University-wide minor in social entrepreneurship. One of the first such programs in the country, President Nikias suggested the creation of the minor several years ago in response to student demand. After recent University approval, students from any school at USC will be able to sign up for the minor beginning this fall. The Marshall-based minor - in partnership with the School of Policy, Planning and Development - will offer students basic coursework in business, social entrepreneurship and social enterprise management along with courses that allow a specialization based on students' interests. The minor is designed to give students a framework within which they can apply what they are learning throughout their undergraduate coursework to the benefit of society. We are very excited about this new endeavor and look forward to this newest opportunity to train the next generation of USC global and local leaders.

New Summer Social Entrepreneurship Internships in Africa

This summer, six Marshall undergrads supported by the USC Marshall School of Business will live, work and build social businesses in rural Africa with community entrepreneurs.
