Greetings!
So here we are.
The Kindred Spirit newsletter takes on its new form as the Real Success newsletter.
Why the change?
The Kindred Spirit network newsletter was produced to help people be more successful, more authentically, and offered a more holistic view of life and work. It formed the basis of the Kindred Spirit Network meetings, where a loyal group of about 25 people would meet to discuss the challenges that face us in business and life.
That has always been the purpose of Real Success too.
So now it's time to move forward and build upon the principles and ideas behind the Kindred Spirit network to reach more people and make more of a difference to more businesses and individuals.
I look forward to maintaining the impetus and impact that the Kindred Spirit Network has made on people's lives and to providing an even better, brighter and practical support network to you during your journey though life.
And if you enjoy the newsletter - please pay it forward by passing it on.
Yours in Real Success,

Paul Harris Inspirational Writer, Speaker and Mentor Tel: 0121-711-1494 Email: paul@real-success.co.uk

What is changing?
The world is changing, shifting, expanding. Consciousness is changing, business is changing, politics is changing. Almost all that we know, changes every day.
The Kindred Spirit Network newsletter (now called Real Success Newsletter), will continue to provide the same content and style of articles but also will provide more practical and structured tips and ideas for implementing the philosophies of authenticity into our lives.
The Real Success newsletter will cover business building tips, life building tips and conciousness building tips. The approach will be "(w)holistic".
The Real Success networking events will be "(w)holistic" too. Each event will seek to help you understand the Real you, help you develop your business or career, and help you develop your spiritual conciousness and relationships with others.
To enable the Real Success message to grow, a membership scheme will be introduced offering you different levels of membership. Details of this will be provided in a separate email to follow soon.
In the meantime, read on for articles and tips on building an authentic life and business.

Are you a "pioneer" or a "settler"?
A number of definitions exist for the term "pioneer" such as:-
"One who ventures into unknown or unclaimed territory to settle"
"One who opens up new areas of thought, research, or development"
"Leading the way or trailblazing" So are you a pioneer or a settler?
Are you seeking out new ways to develop and grow your mind, your business and your life? Or are you "settling" for what others have decided for you?
Real Success is only achieved when it is built authentically around your core values and beliefs. And this can be tough and demanding work. It may mean you have to swim against the tide for while to be able to find your place to settle. It may mean that you have to make sacrifices to build a future that doesn't include compromising your destiny.
And it may mean a lonely, challenging journey until you reach the place where you can look back and know that you achieved success in the only meaningful way, and that is Your Way.
Yes, there are times when we have to be a "settler".
Settlers are those that cultivate and build.
But where are you going to cultivate and build your life, your business and your relationships? From a place where you have followed other pioneers or from your own place, created and developed by you?
So be a pioneer!
It might be a tougher journey, but when you do eventually settle, you won't be settling for second best. You'll have created you own piece of land called your destiny.

Are you at work or play?
Do you leap out of bed every morning with the excitement of another opportunity to play?
Or do you peel back the covers, gingerly taking your first steps to another day of drudgery and grind?
Whether you are self employed, employed or own a large business, you need to find joy, contentment and fun in your work. Anything less is settling for second best.
"But work is about money, success and recognition - not play" shouts the overworked, stressed out executive.
No. It's not. It doesn't need to be this way.
If work is a grind, it will simply grind you down.
If work is your play, it will lift you up to places you never thought possible.
And the first step towards Real Success is to establish if you are working or playing.
If every day feels like work, change it.
If every day feels like play, do more of it.
"But it's not that easy, I've got bills to pay" screams the ever more frustrated executive.
Yes. There are bills to pay. And being Real might not be that easy.
Playing requires you to be brave enough to get hurt. Scraping your knees, bumping your elbows and banging your head from time to time, are all occupational hazards of playing hard.
But working in a job or business that doesn't feel like playing, damages you inside, in places that you can't see. It wears away at your heart, drains your soul and eventually burns you out.
So is it a few bruises from playing that you seek?
Or is it the steady decline of your spirit from the inside out?
Find a way to make every day feel like play.
And if work is a grind, leave it behind. Don't make excuses for accepting the grind.
If work is your play, then inspire others to do the same.
So is it work or play for you?

Goals - do you need them?
Much has been written about the importance of having written goals, both for our personal lives and in business. So is it possible to be successful without them?
Of course it is. Goals are not the prerequisite for success. However....
Would you go on holiday without some idea of were you were heading?
Would a wedding just "happen" or are there weeks, months and sometimes years of planning beforehand - just for one day?
Would you invite friends around for dinner and then when they arrive, look surprised and say you had forgotten they were coming?
Most of us understand that we need to make plans to make things happen and goals are just part of this process.
If its a challenge to write specific goals, write them quite generally but then plan some specific activities.
One of the traits of most high achievers is they are goal focussed. So why not follow a trait of the high achiever?
Go on, its worth a try.

Mystical Moments
Do you have days when a number of conversations appear to follow on from each other? When one conversation on one day is then followed with a conversation the following day or even later that same day about the same subject - but with completely different people?
Or has a book, film, place to visit or persons name been mentioned to you a number of times in s short space of time?
Perhaps these "sequential conversations" are a mere coincidence. Or perhaps they are part of a universal synchronicity that is trying to getting a message to you?
Mystical? You decide.
