The universal trampoline...
The harder you fall , the higher you bounce!
"Be careful" said Mum, as she watched on anxiously. "If you bounce too high, you might fall off and hurt yourself"
Emily screamed in delight as she performed another somersault and bounced higher than before. "But Mum, the harder I fall on the trampoline , the higher I bounce".
Mum looked on at her two girls, leaping and bouncing, with shouts of glee interrupted by the occasional squeal as they twisted an arm or landed awkwardly. But still they bounced and bounced and bounced.....
And only when they were exhausted, did they stop bouncing.

So what happens to us as adults that tells us falling over is a painful experience when as children we simply fall over and get up and try again? Is it all the warnings, from the harbingers of doom and health and safety maniacs that tell us to be cautious, to watch where we step and be careful not to fall?
But ask yourself-how did you learn? How did you grow? How did you become who you are? Yes, the triumphs and successes helped you along the way but most would say it's the bumps and scrapes of the fall that helped them bounce back stronger and more determined than before.
So next time that the opportunity comes to leap into something new, scary and outside your comfort zone, take a lead from the children and enjoy any falls that come your way as it just helps you bounce back wiser and stronger than before. Learn to bounce with the universe. Its much stronger than you think and it will catch you each time and bounce you back up to try again. And remember, the harder you fall-the higher you bounce back!
