Are you on the right track?
When you find the silent space
Are you on the right track?
Tracks Use the points to change track.

"I'm on the wrong track!" said Thomas as he sped past Henry who was slower but heading in the same direction.

"Change track at the next set of points" shouted Henry, "but you'll need to slow down first or you'll crash!"

Thomas looked down the track ahead of him and saw the points ahead. "But I need to jump two sets of tracks Henry-how do I do that?"

"One set at a time Thomas" said Henry wisely.  "Make the first change and then change again a bit further down the line."

Thomas slowed down as the approached the first set of points and safely glided over on to the next track.  He could now see the next set of points in the distance and knew that eventually he'd be on the right track....

When we feel that life isn't quite going in the direction we want it to be, we often want to make drastic changes that will get us back on track.  But sometimes, there might be a couple of steps we need to take to get us where we want to be.  So we are far better knowing where we intend to end up, but accepting that we might have to take a couple of steps before we get there, rather than trying to jump two tracks which can be dangerous.  If we take small steps towards where we want to be, we get there more safely...

So could we add something extra to what we do in our business rather than changing what we do completely?  Could we set up an agreement that might not give us all we seek but definitely moves us towards our goal?  Could we simply offer our help to someone because it feels right even though there is no obvious benefit to us right now?

All of these steps can moves us closer to the right track without risking a derailment in the process.  This isn't a question of being over cautious; this is being brave enough to see where we are aiming for but accepting the best way to get there is to use the points that the universe has placed ahead rather than trying to create our own.  And then we simply glide across towards our goals and Thomas stays safe.....
When you find the silent space
get in the zone
When we are truly in the moment and paying loving attention to another human being or simply to the task we are undertaking, why does time seem to stand still?

When we listen with our hearts and give our love to what we do, why does life feel more complete?

When we wait for the silence and give our minds space to think, how is it that we come up with better questions and answers?

So why then, do we rush to talk when it's listening that guides us?  Why do we make noise in our lives when silence can provide the answers?

Perhaps we should try to get in the zone that is the silent space in between our thoughts and who knows what answers and guidance we might find there....
