I have decided to move the newsletter to a fortnightly publication. This will allow all the readers more time to read the content and to also allow more time for content to develop.
It will no longer be a dated newsletter so that people joining the mailing list can look back through the archive - irrespective of the date.

Greetings!
Two weeks have passed since the last newsletter and that is 14 days, 336 hours and over 20000 minutes. That sounds alot doesn't it but as you and I both know, the last two weeks will have passed like a blink of the eye. 20000 minutes gone and we hardly notice. So this has got me thinking....
It is SO easy to let life slip by without noticing. From being too worried about the future, to being obsessed with mistakes of the past, if we are not careful, 20000 minutes can go by without us realising that in those 20000 minutes were moments that probably changed our lives and the lives of others.
That is the power of living in the "now" rather than the past or future and realising that in fact, there is no past or future. The past is memories and the future is possibilities. But the only reality is now, today, this minute and this moment.
So as you read through the contents of this newsletter, I hope it helps you to press the pause button momentarily on your life and gets you to recognise the wonder of the present. The present is the greatest gift that that universe has provided so use it well.
In love and life,
Paul x

Why am I here?

One of the eternal questions that we may ask ourselves from time to time is "why am I here?" This could be in a relationship, job, career or in life itself. Many of us are continually seeking answers that will give meaning to our daily lives. Some of course, simply accept that "what will be, will be" and don't search or yearn for meaning in their lives. They are happy to just "be" and to exist.
There is merit in both ways of living as we should all try to accept what is happening to us in any given moment and there is certainly a place for believing that at times "what will be, will be". However, this assumes that we are merely passengers in our lives and not active participants. As soon as we become active participants in our lives and attempt to direct our destiny, then we inevitably come to a point when we ask ourselves "why am I here?". This question, when asked deeply and with meaning, leads us towards our inner voice and takes us down through the layers of our lives until we reach that final, deepest and most profound question. Many avoid the question altogether as it is so much easier to spend each day not concerned with meaning but merely with existence.
So why are you here? What do you truly feel is the gift that you have that separates you from friends, family, colleagues and business associates? What would you do if your magic genie appeared today and granted you a wish that was certain to come true? We all have this yearning at our core but it can be buried by the need for survival, the need for compromise and the need to comply with "the norm".
But when we do begin to follow our hearts and not our heads, we demonstrate faith in the power of the universe. We take that leap from the comfort zone of a passive existence into the exhilarating flight of faith in the universe that surrounds us.
Yes it can be easier, safer and less controversial to exist. But you only get one chance at life so why would you want to "let it happen" when you can decide to follow your heart and "be" or "do" what you want with your life.
Remember - asking a question always generates an answer.
So go on. Ask yourself the question "why am I here" and see what comes back at you. Then you decide if you are currently on track or need to make a change.

What is faith?
"Many spiritual traditions use the word "faith" to describe a state of positive acceptance that makes it possible to enter and embrace reality with an open heart and without fear.
When I use the word, I'm not talking about unquestioningly accepting religious dogma. Faith is believing in the logic, love and goodness of the universe. Faith enables us to look at life as beautiful, even when it is not beautiful. It allows us to trust in the way things happen, however compounding or painful those things sometimes are. Having genuine faith means being truly prepared for things not to go as you hope or expect, being prepared to meet everything in life and within yourself. It means trusting that things are as they should be, even when they are not as you would like them to be because the entire universe is as it should be."

It Doesn't Matter...
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for,and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love,
for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring
your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the centre of
your own sorrow,
if you have been opened by life's betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of
further pain!
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or
your own,
without moving to hide it, or fade it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your
own;
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your
fingers
and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be
realistic,
or to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you're telling
me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be
true to yourself;
if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not
betray your own soul.
I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore
be trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it
is not pretty every day,
and if you can source your life from God's
presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours
and mine,
And still stand on the edge of a lake
And shout to the silver of the moon, "Yes!"
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or
how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after the night of
grief
and despair, weary and bruised to the bone,
and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you are, how you came to
be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the centre of
the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside
when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself,
and if you truly like the company you keep in the
empty moments.

Be Engaged in the Now
Thinking about where you've been or what you did wrong in the past are impediments to an inspired life. When you're inspired, you're totally engaged in the now. In an infinite, never-beginning and never-ending Universe, there is no past.
Selected from "Inspiration" by Dr Wayne W. Dyer.

Books that Inspire Me
Annemarie Postma's The Deeper Secret is a great buy for anyone
interested in the current fascination with the Law of Attraction as portrayed in the "The Secret".
This
book gives a more down-to-earth and pragmatic view on the spiritual
laws of manifestation, offering a wider context as well as simple
guidelines for how to really set-to and become responsible for making
the changes you want to make.
Annemarie's 'new' teaching is that we are
in partnership with the Universe, and so must learn to give what we
want to receive. This is a fuller picture of the Laws as well as a
beautiful book that's easy to pick up and put down.

Mystical Moments
Some of you may know that I have made some fairly dramatic changes to my business this week, changes that will hopefully drive greater commercial success and personal fulfillment.
24 hours after making these changes, I met with a Kindred Spirit for an initial conversation that may or may not lead to a subsequent business relationship.
However, the meeting covered ground way outside the "norm" and included a deep discussion on the universe, synchronicity and the relevance of Tarot Cards and Angel Cards as ways of helping to guide us.
A pack of 52 Angel cards were produced and I looked through them with interest. Having placed them face down in a large fan on the floor with the intention of selecting one at random, I decided to pack them away and not choose a card.
I collected up the cards, but as I did so, two cards fell from my hand onto the floor. Out of pure curiosity, we decided to turn them over to see which cards had fallen from my hand.
One card (above) was an angel card called Rochelle and its inscription is as follows:-
"As you honor and follow the guidance of your heart, prosperity is coming to you now"I had made a decision the previous 24 hours that was based entirely on following the guidance of my heart. I looked through every single other card in the pack to see if another card had a similar meaning. No other card carried a meaning even close to the one that had fallen to the floor as I placed the cards in the box.
But that was just a coincidence wasn't it?
So we looked at the other card.
The other card was absolutely relevant to the other Kindred Spirit and was the only card in the pack that contained the right message for her. We had discussed the message on the card before the Angel Cards were even produced.
Two cards from 52. Two people with two very real situations.
Just two random coincidences?
You be the judge...
