KSN moves to a fortnightly issue!
I have decided to move the newsletter to a fortnightly publication. This will allow all the readers more time to read the content and to also allow more time for content to develop.
It will no longer be a dated newsletter so that people joining the mailing list can look back through the archive - irrespective of the date.

Greetings!
The movie Freaky Friday is a story about changed identities. For the last two Fridays, which have both been freaky for me, I have felt like I had two identities. Each Friday began with a sense of dissappointment with the present and uncertainty about the future. A feeling of falling into darkness emerged from the shadows and threatened to pull me into a state of mind that was unhelpful and counter productive. But each Friday, I met up with someone, spoke to someone on the telephone, and heard contents of a CD in my car, that lifted me to a very different perspective and a very different place. Two very different identities and very freaky indeed.
I have asked myself and others why the last two Fridays have been so freaky. And the answer is comforting and encouraging in many different ways; I believe that the universe, my guardian angels, or simply my own spirit is watching over me and knows what I have needed to hear to lift me out of my own shadows of doubt into the light of my possibilities. The help, support and guidance that I have recieved for the last two Fridays has not only lifted me but has shown me direction in key areas of my business and ultimately my life.
I believe that we do have to go into our darkness from time to time to enable us to emerge into the light. But rather than being afraid of these moments in our lives, be certain that there are people in your world that will lift you up. Some may be in this world and some may exist in other places that we can't see. But they are there.
Thanks to those special souls in my world that have lifted me when I needed it most. My dearest wish for everyone that reads this newsletter is that when your dark moments come, that you too will be helped by your guardian angels, be they mortal or spiritual. And in rescuing another, we bring upon us the light of possibilities for ourselves too.
In love and life,
Paul x

The Power of Intuition, goals and the universe.

"Turn on the radio" said Jim. "I want to hear the news".
Mary pulled up the arial on her digital radio and the radio burst into life, crackling with interference.
"What's the frequency?" asked Mary, fiddling with the tuning dial. "All I can hear is static".
"96.4FM" said Jim. "Keep moving the dial - you'll find it in a moment. Have you got the aerial fully extended?"
"Yes, I have," said Mary as she twisted the dial towards 96.4FM . After a few moments the radio station she was searching for could be heard.
"That's it" said Jim. "Just fine tune it so I can hear it more clearly"
Mary made some final minor adjustments to the dial and then they sat back to listen to the news.

We all accept that radio waves exist. We all accept that radio stations broadcast their programmes and if we turn on our radios and tune into the correct frequency, we'll be able to hear the programme.
But how many of us actually KNOW how a radio works? How many of us understand the complexities of the technical wizardry which allows someone to speak into a microphone in London and his words can be heard moments later in Australia. We know it works so we just accept it.
What if our thoughts were the same? What if we could broadcast our thoughts onto a specific frequency so that those that needed to hear our thoughts were able to pick up our frequency, tune in and appear in our lives. Would that be coincidence or did we actually contribute something to the process?
I believe that our minds are infinitely more complex and capable than a man-made radio. So surely, if a man made radio is able to pick up radio waves, other human beings are able to pick up our frequencies too.
So if we even partially accept that we are capable of sending our thoughts out into the universe, then we must be careful of what we wish for! We have all heard of the Law of Attraction and how we can manifest our dreams by simply putting the right thoughts out to the universe. My view is that it requires a little more effort than that but if we simply write down our intuitive desires (what we Really, Really Want as the Spice girls once said) then we increase our chances of receiving what we are seeking. This is because by writing our goals down on paper, we publicise our frequency so that all those with their aerials pointed towards us will pick up our frequency and appear in our lives. "Simples!"
So what if we are more capable than our transistor radios? What if we can broadcast our needs and desires across the airwaves in the universe so that those that need to help us, can appear - coincidentally - in our lives.
What if you put up your aerial (opened your mind), then broadcast your frequency (wrote down your goals) and watched your audience (those that you need to help you) appear in your life. Would that just be a coincidence?
You decide...

The blind man

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man
was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help
drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only
window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The
men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families,
their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service,
where they had been on vacation.
Every afternoon when the man
in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by
describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the
window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour
periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the
activity and color of the world outside.
The window overlooked
a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while
children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm
amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could
be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in
exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his
eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.
One warm afternoon the
man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man
couldn't hear the band - he could see it. In his mind's eye as the
gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.
Days
and weeks passed. One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for
their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window,
who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the
hospital attendants to take the body away.
As soon as it
seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to
the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making
sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he
propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real
world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside
the bed.
It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what
could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such
wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man
was blind and could not even see the wall.
She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you and lift your spirit. And perhaps he thought this would help you get better more quickly..."
******
Despite his own lack of sight, the man gave his friend hope and optimism. How many of our friends can we inspire, even when we are feeling lost ourselves? This is true meaning of giving.
With thanks to Alan Smith for pointing me towards this story.

Act Upon Your Inner Impulses
If you play the game of life, you'll have plenty of wins and losses, regardless of your talent level. Being inspired means that you're willing to act upon your inner impulses so that you'll never experience the pain of dying while still wondering, what if.....

Books that Inspire Me
Written in the mid-eighties, this book describes in chilling detail the
nightmare of the times, i.e., nuclear holocaust. Some of the background
events may be a bit outdated, but in light of the recent terrorist
attacks we know there is still the threat of mass destruction. So the book is still pretty scary!
The first couple of
hundred pages that describe the nuclear attack and immediate aftermath
are terrifying. The horrors that are described throughout the book are
gruesome. America has become a scorched and barren landscape. The
survivors miraculously scratch out an existence and somehow keep alive
the hope of a future in which the sun will shine again and the land
will bear fruit again.
Ultimately, the story is about the struggle
between good and evil, and how the stress of tragic events brings out
the best in some and the worst in others. For a book of over 900
pages, it is a surprisingly fast read, and there are no lulls. McCammon
is a superb storyteller who has created memorable characters and a
detailed setting.
Swan Song is a great book that I read over 20 years ago but it's essence (good will always overcome evil) is as relevant today as it was when I first read it.

Mystical Moments
I have given talks this week at a breakfast network group (4 Networking) about intuition, coincidence and synchronicity. I have used the metaphor of the radio to explain how we can access the universal energy.
Travelling in my car on (freaky) Friday, I selected a CD set that I had purchased some time ago, but hadn't yet listened to. I turned on my CD player, and within the first few minutes, the presenter of the CD began talking about how we can tune in to each other - just like a radio.....
Reassurance that I was on the right path...or just a coincidence?
It doesn't really matter does it?
