The battle between darkness and light.
Moments when we discover our strength.

This week has been a tumultuous week.  Moments of total despair and moments of real breakthrough.  Moments of anger and moments of joy.  Not just the roller coaster of life, but a very real sense of two sets of    conflicting emotions that seemed to follow me about like two sides of a coin that weighed heavy in my pocket....

But then to find out that others that share the same philosophy of life as me and are traveling along the same road (the one less travelled by...) also experienced the same dark moments at the same time on the same day this week, makes you stop and wonder just how the battle of light and dark can be played out in our lives - and in those with whom we are connected by our beliefs and values.  So is that synchronicity or just a coincidence?

Perhaps as we approach something that is "good" (either for us or for others we are trying to help) the "dark" side of the universe tries it's hardest to stop us?  We find ourselves overcome by uncharacteristic anger, unnecessary jealousy and unhelpful thoughts.  But if we listen, we can hear the voice of truth that shines its light on us and says "Be Still". This week, on Tuesday,  two of our Kindred Spirits were battling their demons, both under attack from the darkness that is merely waiting to be invited in.  Both spirits were strong and asked the light to guide them and the light returned.  But it was scary....

So could it be that as we try to help each other, that other forces will try to stand in our way? This week more than ever before, I know that the strength of a connected Kindred Spirit can bring you out of the darkness into the light.  Like golden threads that exists between us, when we think of each other, we give each other strength. Period. No question. Thoughts carry the life force energy just as much as a torch that shines its light through the darkness.  So be a torch for your friends and think of them often and if you feel you need to call them.... just pick up the phone.

Shack
"Take the risks of honesty"  from "The Shack" by WM Paul Young

This book appears to be creating a similar stir as "The Celestine Prophecy" when it was first published. Despite widespread criticism of the content and the writing style, it challenges religious dogma and I have found it an        enjoyable and fascinating read so far.

I read a passage this morning (Saturday)  and it made me think if the Kindred Spirit Network.  It says "Its simple, its all about relationships and simply sharing life...and being open and available to  others.."

Couldn't have put it better myself...
