Greetings!
This weeks newsletter is based around the theme of "when the going get's tough, the tough get going" as discussions with Kindred Spirits this week suggest that lot's of us are battling with fears for the future, situations from which there seems to be no way out and business challenges that continue to rumble on.
So if you are feeling any of those emotions, this newsletter is for you. I hope that some of my thoughts on how we can look at challenges, where we can get help and what we can do to help ourselves, comforts you and shares your burden.
If your life is racing along without challenges and you feel you are riding the crest of a wave, then that's fantastic and we celebrate with you.
Finally, you may be receiving this newsletter
for the first time this week If so, I have sent it to you as I feel
you may be interested in its contents. If you want to get a flavour of
previous issues, the last few issues are available by clicking on the
logo in the section marked archive on the left. If you'd prefer not to receive any further newsletters, just click on the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email.
Have a great intuitive and coincidence filled week!
In love and life,
Paul
x P.S. I am looking to arrange a Kindred Spirit Network meeting for Wednesday
25th November where I will speaking about "The place for Intuition,
Spirituality and Coincidence in business", followed by an open discussion on
any other issue that you feel you'd like to
raise! There will be a very small cost to cover the cost of some
refreshments, and I'll confirm full details soon.

Swimming.

"I can't swim any further, I'm shattered" shouted Paul
towards the support boat. He was tired
and reaching total exhaustion after swimming more then 20 miles across the
English channel. The French coast was
in sight on the horizon and each time he lifted his head out of the murky
waters, he glimpsed land. He knew he was
close but to his tired body, he could have been standing on the English coast -
France felt miles away.
"Just take another stroke" shouted Chris from the support
boat. "And another Paul... keep going...
that's it...you're nearly there!".
Paul heard Chris from the boat and trusted him. Chris had faced the same challenge before and
knew how exhausting it can be swimming towards a goal. Paul trusted him and just knowing that Chris
was in his support boat gave him another burst of energy. He put his head down, gasped another huge
breath into his exhausted lungs and took another stroke. And with each single stroke, he got closer
and closer to his goal.
As Paul clambered up onto the rocks of France he turned
towards the boat. And there was Chris
standing in the boat, applauding with a huge smile on his face. Paul looked straight at Chris and mouthed the
words "thank you".
As he looked at Chris, his tired body finally gave way to
the enormous effort it had taken to reach his goal and the tears flowed. He could no longer contain the emotion
contained within his chest and he sobbed as he realised just what he had
achieved. He knew how close he had come
to turning back, to giving up and to going back to his old existence. The
achievement of his goal came with huge sacrifice, massive effort and bravery
but most importantly, with the support of his friends.
Paul would never be the same again. The achievement of his goal had changed him. But what changed him more was the experience
along the way. As he took each stroke
towards his goal, and he overcame the wind, the waves and the biting cold of
the dark obstacles around him, his soul soared above them to a new and more
meaningful place.
He grew. And the
world grew with him.

Feeling sorry for ourselves

Taking time to feel sorry for ourselves is a past time that
we all indulge in from time to time. When
we get hurt, lose someone near to us, or the worries of life get us down, we
naturally begin to ask the infamous question "why me?". We tend to feel in our darkest moments that
no-one can be suffering just like we are.
This is true and untrue in equal measure.
It is true in that at the moment we are suffering, it is our suffering. No-one else can feel as we do, truly understand
the depths of our pain or heal the situation for us. We eventually, over time and with effort,
heal ourselves. But our friends and
family, business associates and customers can all play their part too. Feeling sorry for ourselves is a temporary darkness that can feel suffocating but will ease and eventually pass.
The love and support of the important spirits in our lives is
comforting, supportive and permanent.
But it is untrue to believe that no-one is suffering like us. When we believe we are having a difficult time, somebody will be brought
to our attention via a friend, the media or through a book, who we realise is suffering too. And we will recognise, in that brief moment, that
whilst we may be experiencing pain and suffering, someone else in their journey
of life is suffering more. In this
understanding is a healing for us too.
So when we do next take the time to feel sorry for
ourselves, (as we are certain to do from time to time) let us understand that this is ok, normal and part of our own
healing process. But equally, take comfort in the knowledge that in another place, another soul is also searching for comfort and healing and is likely to be dealing with a situation that is worse than that which we face.
Combined suffering is the flip side of combined healing. With one, comes the other. As we suffer, others suffer too. As we heal, they heal too.
So take comfort in the knowledge that within your suffering and challenges is a healing and victory that is sure to follow.

Become a Being of Sharing
Since the Universe works via the law of attraction, when you say "gimme, gimme, gimme" it responds in like fashion. But when you say, "How may I share?", the Universe responds by saying, How may I share with you? You are a being of sharing; I return the same energy back to you.

Books that Inspire Me

The Alchemist presents a simple fable, based on simple truths
and places it in a highly unique situation. Brazilian
storyteller Paulo Coehlo introduces Santiago, an Andalucian shepherd
boy who one night dreams of a distant treasure in the Egyptian
pyramids. And so he's off: leaving Spain to literally follow his dream.
Along the way he meets many spiritual messengers, who come in
unassuming forms such as a camel driver and a well-read Englishman. In
one of the Englishman's books, Santiago first learns about the
alchemists--men who believed that if a metal were heated for many
years, it would free itself of all its individual properties, and what
was left would be the "Soul of the World." Of course he does eventually
meet an alchemist, and the ensuing student-teacher relationship
clarifies much of the boy's misguided agenda, while also emboldening
him to stay true to his dreams. "My heart is afraid that it will have
to suffer," the boy confides to the alchemist one night as they look up
at a moonless night. "Tell your heart that the fear of
suffering is worse than the suffering itself," the alchemist replies.
"And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its
dreams, because every second of the search is a second's encounter with
God and with eternity."

Mystical Moments
The CD arrived in the post that morning. My usual monthly CD. Nothing mystical in that.
I climbed into my car and headed towards a meeting, feeling a little sorry for myself, concerned about the future and wondering if I could make my business work.
I pushed the CD into the CD player and it started to play. It began with a section all about not giving up....mmmm...
Then my meeting began and our discussions moved quickly into how another mutual friend was overcoming huge obstacles to achieve great success. Suddenly, my fears and concerns didn't seem so large...mmmm....
Then, as our meeting began to draw to a close, I felt that my friend would one day influence a much wider audience with his wisdom. I told him that he could reach a much wider audience if he just decided to do so. This Kindred Spirit was after all, a goal achieving master...
I returned to my car and my CD player started up again. The next section was an interview with someone that had been recognised by and was an advisor to governments, education authorities and large businesses. Just like I had told my friend he would be....mmmm....
Just a bunch of coincidences or something more mystical?
It doesn't matter really does it?...
