Next Meeting
Postponed!
Meeting logo

For the last two weeks, I have been battling with the feeling that the meeting provisionally set for October 5th should be postponed. Something kept telling me I wasn't quite ready to bring people together again and that some key people couldn't be there anyway.

So I have decided to stop fighting these feelings and to postpone the meeting.  I'm sorry if this disappoints a number of you that expressed an interest in coming along, but as I try to follow my intuition completely with everything to do with the Kindred Spirit Network, I can't hide from the feeling that I should postpone the meeting.

Let's see what happens next and I'll let you know via this newsletter when we might meet up!

Greetings!

Another week has gone by and how much closer are you to your dreams, goals and the real you?  It's a challenge that we all face each week and as we get older, we realise that the weeks we have left to achieve our goals get less and less and less....

So what are you doing to move yourself in the direction of your dreams?  What books have you read this week that can help and inspire you?  How many people have you spoken to that you know can help push you through your comfort zone?  And how many times have you listened to your inner voice when it has tried to point you in the direction that it knows you need to follow?

If you are like me, you've tried a bit of all of these things and may be you still feel just as far from your destiny as ever.  So have we missed something?  Yes we have....

When we do anything, however small, that moves us towards our dreams, we ARE succeeding and getting closer to our destiny.   We may wish for the big shifts, the big "aha" moments, and the big indication from the universe that it has heard our pleas and plants something huge in front of us.  But it's often in the smallness of our thoughts that real movement begins.  A different way of looking at a challenge; A lyric from a song that moves us; A paragraph in a book that makes sense; All of these small shifts in our consciousness contribute to our success and to our journey towards our dreams.

So this week, as you enjoy each day, look out for the inch by inch progress that you are making.  It's there if you look out for it, if you listen to your heart and if you feel the movement that does take place beneath your feet.  The universe rumbles away below you, above you and around you and inch by inch, it will help you.

My heartfelt thanks to Chris Williams for inspiring these thoughts this week and reminding me that "inch by inch, life's a cinch, but yard by yard, life is hard".  I hope you all find some destiny driven inches of progress in your business and personal lives this week.

In love and life,

Paul

The clouds of doubt...
Question mark

"I'm just not sure I can make it work" said Steve.  "Everyone I talk to at the moment tells me that what I want to do isn't a money spinner.  Perhaps I should give up and do something else - get a job perhaps?"

How many of us in business or even working for someone else, have moments when we doubt that we can succeed?  And if we are being successful, do we ever get to a point where doubts never enter our minds?  Everyone has doubts - even the most successful entrepreneurs of our time have dark moments when they wonder if they are doing the right thing.  But it's where the doubts emerge from that is so critical.

If we rely on external forces (however good their intent) to help us judge what we are doing, we risk opening up our spirit to the forces of doubt and darkness that thrive on fear and gnaw at our confidence.  Whilst it can be helpful and sometime essential to ask for guidance or an opinion from one that we feel can help us, we must be wary of the powerful intent of darkness that wishes to stop us from making progress, doing good and helping ourselves succeed.  This dark power is at its strongest just before we are about to make the critical move that could finally bring us the success we have been working towards.  Remember, that the very coldest part of the day is the moment just before dawn; the moment just before the sun is about to break through and start another day.

And our lives are just like the darkness of night and the light of day.  Just as we are about to breakthrough to achieve our goals, the darkness and coldness of doubt will try to stop us.  So how can we be strong enough to overcome our doubts at such critical moments?

Firstly, by feeling as well as seeing and hearing.  The only place where doubts are important are when they emanate from our deepest, quietest thoughts and feelings.  When our soul tells us that an action, a next step, or decision is right or wrong, we should take note.  But when our doubts have been given to us by a well meaning friend or family member, or from an "expert" who tells you they know best, just listen and then try to feel the doubts.  Are they real to you or just real to them?  If you still truly believe that you can succeed, that you can build your dream and that you can take the next step...then just take it.

And then watch in awe as the sun rises through your clouds of doubt at the dawn of your next step. It's a magical feeling to know that you are on track, despite the doubters that can be well meaning but guided by their own doubts and dark thoughts.

So when clouds drift over your dreams, remember that the only sun that can dissolve them is that which lies within you.  It's your world. Make it happen.

Letting it go
letting go
Two travelling monks reached a river where they met a young prostitute.  Wary of the current, she asked if they could carry her across.  One of the monks hesitated, but the other quickly picked her up onto his shoulders.  Together the monks strode through the river until they reached the other side.  The monk set the prostitute down on the other bank. She thanked him and continued her journey.

As the monks continued on their way, one was brooding and preoccupied.  Unable to hold his silence, he spoke with anger.  "Brother, our spiritual training teaches us to avoid any contact with women - let alone prostitutes - but you picked that one up on your shoulders and carried her!"
"Brother," the second monk replied, "I set her down on the other side, while you are still carrying her."
* * *
How often do we hold onto anger, frustration or disappointment longer than we should and by doing so - we harm ourselves far more than the person or situation that angered us in the first place.

Next time this happens to you - remember the story of the monks and just set down your anger.  If you hold onto your anger or frustration, it is you that carries the burden.  Letting it go can even be an act of supreme forgiveness and is the single most powerful act we can perform.
Have Faith
Have faith that whatever you need to experience is on its way, and that the universe won't send you anything you're incapable of handling.  You can decide that the word fear is an acronym for : false evidence appearing real.

Books that Inspire Me
Eat, Pray, Love
This weeks "Books that Inspire Me" is provided by Roni Flatley, a successful Forever Living Distributor based in Solihull. This is what she says...

"Eat, Pray, Love" is an autobiography by Elizabeth Gilbert which tells the story of a womans journey to find herself after a horrendous divorce experience. It reads like a novel but is all the more powerful for being a true story. She spends months in Italy, then an ashram in India and finally finds love again in Bali - I found it truly inspiring, because she talks about all her inner stuggles in a way you dont normally hear people talk."

Mystical Moments
LourdesA visit to Lourdes, France.

This week, we heard some news about the health of a young member of our extended family that was very worrying.  24 hours after hearing this news I received a call from a good friend.  And this is what he said...

"Paul, you've been on my mind all day.  I'm off to Lourdes tomorrow to spend some time thinking and praying and I kept getting this feeling that I needed to call you to ask you if there was someone I should pray for in your family...."

Coincidence? Fate? Chance? Or just Catholic religious mumbo jumbo?

I don't subscribe to any of the above statements.  I'm certain that if we are open enough, we can pick up the thoughts and feelings of our close friends and family.

Just be open enough to consider it could be so.  And then let me know when something mystical happens to you...
