Thanks to the assistance of Dave Delbridge of Circa 3000 and our new website sponsor, TeleVox, our website has officially moved! Now you can visit  www.DistinguishedYW.org to reach our website, login to your profile and update the web pages for your program. We encourage you to use the new web address to tell others about our program and help get out our new name to the world.
 
In addition, state and local programs now have two new tools to use in promoting their programs! The first tool is personalized email addresses for all programs. For example, you can contact Wisconsin's chairperson by emailing Wisconsin@DistinguishedYW.org. The new emails should make it easier to contact state and local programs. (More information for program chairs in the Heartbeat.)
 
The second new tool is web addresses that streamlines access to your program. Now you can skip the bulky web addresses and visit Georgia's page at www.DistinguishedYW.org/GA. A link from that page will lead you to Georgia's traditional homepage where you can find links for local programs, news and contestants. Each state has the same information on the home page for people who go directly to your program's page.
 
We still have some important updates to make to the website and we are looking for ColdFusion programmers to help!  If you or someone you know can program in ColdFusion, please contact Cassidy Grimes at  Cassidy@DistinguishedYW.org.

Fall is here and it's beautiful, and cooler, in the Mobile Bay Area.  Your Distinguished Young Women staff is busy with planning for the new fiscal year, finishing up our final fundraiser for the current year, and looking out for the future of this organization.  We've been delighted at the positive response to our new name, especially from school counselors across the country who seem much more receptive about promoting our program to their outstanding senior girls.  We've also received positive feedback from the Mobile community as we have made the circuit of service clubs and other organizations to share the message about why we've changed our name and what we hope to accomplish.  We are always looking for volunteers to help with state and local programs so if you have relocated to a new area or just want to find out how to get involved, please contact us here or check out your nearest program on the DistinguishedYW.org website. We especially need someone in South Dakota and in Maine so do pass along any leads you have to nicole@DistinguishedYW.org. Thank you for supporting Distinguished Young Women in your own way as we continue to inspire young women to great things.
