What an exciting year it has been for Junior Miss and we are certainly looking forward what 2010 will bring! As many of you know, Marshall Strategy made recommendations for AJM's strategic positioning going forward; these recommendations do involve some change. Change can be a good thing when the goal is the long-term sustainability of the Junior Miss program. After conference calls and lengthy discussions about the options for going forward, your AJM Alumnae Council Board Members fully support the efforts of the National Board of Directors and are doing whatever we can to strengthen the image of Junior Miss with a view to the future. We encourage you to keep an open mind and a supportive attitude for the effort and goodwill of those who are working hard to ensure that this organization is successful for years to come. I truly feel that this will be the beginning of a stronger AJM organization that benefits even more young women throughout the country. Congratulations to each of you on your contributions to a successful year. Because of your support, the AJM Alumnae Council received $8895 in dues and donations in 2009. Because we have no overhead expenses, 100% of Our Money Goes To Help Junior Miss Programs with various expenses like Scholarships or Facilities. This year we awarded scholarships in Maine, Nevada, Texas, Connecticut and West Virginia, programs which had new state chairpersons or still do not have one at all! We paid for the facility rentals of Colorado and Texas programs, and at the National Finals we paid for the flight of a state participant's mother so she could attend the program. We provided a scholarship to Maine's 2010 program in the memory of Hillary Hoyt's (MEJM 2009), father of who passed away this summer. Of course, we also provided scholarships for the three Be Your Best Self and Spirit of Junior Miss awards at the National Finals. As you can see, your generosity is making a difference for Junior Miss around the country. We are preparing for our 2010 Membership Drive, which begins in January. I encourage you to participate in this exciting time of our organization. Join the AJM Alumnae Council, make a tax deductible donation, and volunteer with a local or state program in your area. Remember, an organization is only as strong as those who support it, so we need your help to ensure that the AJM Alumnae Council can continue to make an impact on young women and Junior Miss programs across the country! Thank you for your continued support! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!

Thank You for Your Support |
Dear AJM Council,
Thank you so much for your donation to the Colorado's Junior Miss for our venue and the scholarship account. This assistance was extremely helpful for my first year as state chairman and our program was a great success. I can't wait to see the growth at the state level for Colorado in years to come.
Thank you for your support.
