Doin' It With Distinctiveness
Showcasing what sets Rivermont apart

"It is not enough to fight for the environment; it is equally as important to enjoy it."
Edward Abbey, Author
Today PreSchool through 5th Grade traveled to West Lake Park to enjoy OLE (Outdoor Learning Experiences) Day.  This Rivermont tradition presents the opportunity to participate in activities that educate students about the environment in which they live and discover why it's called it the GREAT outdoors.
The nature of childhood has changed over the last 20 years - there's not much nature in it anymore!  Outdoor time is connected with a wide-range of benefits, including increased enthusiasm to learn and enhanced imagination.  Rivermont adds a little nature to the back-to-school supply list every year with activities such as OLE Day.
