Chinatown Chicago Field Trip!

Chinese I and III students had a great time this past Saturday, touring both old and new sections of Chicago's Chinatown.  Students enjoyed Dim Sum snacks in the morning and hand-stretched fresh noodles in the evening.  The group visited the Chinese-American Museum of Chicago, where two exhibits were on display: Great Wall to the Great Lakes: Chinese Immigration to the Midwest and Chinese Toys.  Much fun was had - not to mention a great deal of shopping!

Chinatown (2)

Rivermont students Souriyo Dishak, Joann Weeks, Chi Ieong Wong, Amanda McVey, Shravya Pothula, Summer Lawrence, Ramya Prabhu, and Kelsey Qu enjoy the Chinatown experience!

This past Sunday, Gwen Livingstone Pokora and Marsha Field celebrated 25 years of dedication to Rivermont!

Thank you to those who were able to attend to celebrate with us and also to those who made contributions for the Historical Photo Project in honor of Marsha and the Portable Video Studio in honor of Gwen.  If you would still like to make a contribution, checks may be made out to Rivermont and marked Field Anniversary or Pokora Anniversary.

Our deepest appreciation & gratitude to Marsha & Gwen!
