Go Lions!

Thank you to faculty and parents who presented in our LS morning meetings during International Week.
Faculty Ha Dao, who was in the Peace Corps, taught us about the Cape Verde Islands. Parent Gillian Lederman gave us great examples of how the Scottish speak and dress differently. Students designed their own clan (family) plaid. Thursday Susanne Koenig taught us "Meine Tante aus Marocco, Ja die Kommt" to the tune of "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain".  Also on Thursday the Lower School celebrated German Day with an afternoon of engaging activities taught by the faculty. Friday, parent Katie Franks, who was an exchange student in Finland, taught us to count to 10 in Finnish. Finally, thank you to Bettinna Bolger for teaching us to "Zumba" dance to Latino music in our all school assembly!

International Week is always a time for Rivermont students to learn to respect and celebrate other world cultures!

Tuition Assistance

Rivermont's tuition assistance program is designed to help the School enroll an academically talented and socially and economically diverse student body.  The School commits a percentage of its operating budget to need-based tuition assistance along with endowed funds donated to support the School's economic diversity.

Kindergarten through Grade 12 families interested in applying for tuition assistance are directed to the School's website where the procedure is outlined and links to the necessary forms can be found.  Rivermont enlists the services of School & Student Service by NAIS to calculate a family's estimated contribution to tuition.  This calculation and the resources available at Rivermont are then considered by the Tuition Assistance Committee in recommending or denying a grant.  Interested families should begin the process immediately as funds are limited.

Feel free to contact Business Manager, Jenny Nicol for additional information.  nicol@rvmt.org or (563) 359-1355, ext. 315.
