H1N1 Reminder
Prevent the spread of the virus - Stay home if you are ill.
We continue to be vigilant at School trying to mitigate the spread of H1N1 in our community. We currently have the lowest absence due to flu rate in Scott County. We believe this is due to both healthy habits at school combined with sick students staying home.
We are still waiting for word from the Health department concerning immunization. Parents and guardians will be contacted as soon as we receive word.

John Deere IS Explorers
Interested in pursuing a career in computer technology?
IS Explorers is a co-ed program for young adults, offering high school students in the Quad Cities a real world, business view of computers and technology. The program consists of bi-weekly meetings presented by computer professionals who work in the Information Systems division of John Deere. Students are given presentations, take part in hands-on labs and have educational, computer-oriented competitions.
John Deere IS Explorers is one of about fifty Exploring Posts in the Quad City area, offering local students a view of fields such as law enforcement, law and government, aviation, medical and health careers, computers, and more. Past Explorers have used the program as an opportunity to gain experience towards a particular discipline. This not only helps to determine if a particular career is what a student wants to pursue, but it also offers a head start on others pursuing the same career after high school.
